Great show. Great story.

Quite a few twists and turns in the story. Look forward to watching Bad Blood.

Some things seem unbelievable in real life but who knows what that works is really like.

Kim Coats does a great job acting. He is a talented actor that doesn't get the recognition he deserves (as long as he isn't trying to cry... sometimes looks forced but aside from that he is a talented actor)

Cannot wait for season 3. OMG season 2 finale really left me hanging on a cliff.

Good series but could have been great

Well acted with Coates and La Paglia stand out performances. The violence was extreme and consistent with the genre. I sensed the principal photography was lacking in creativity and capturing the scene with intensity of the script. Overall I would definitely recommend the time to watch every episode

Great series

This is a very compelling & driven series. I am proud to say most of it is Canadian!

We sure hope it continues. We hope CBC is taking notice. Great acting & writing.

Much better then the negative reviews

Not really sure why there are the negative reviews that there are but it is what it is. Some people just have ridiculous expectations. Regardless, after watching Season 1, all 6 episodes, I was immediately searching to see if a 2nd season was under way. To my genuine happiness I was pleased to find out that it already started airing in Canada in October. Needless to say I'm looking forward to it. As for the show, it was well written, well acted and more then enjoyable. Plenty of drama, some suspense, some action, a couple of good twists, and there was a certain degree of emotional connection to the outcomes of some characters. Definitely worth watching and I hope they move forward with a season 3, unless of course the 2nd season falls short - I haven't started watching the 2nd season yet, not available on Netflix. But that's what Firesticks are for, right? Lol.

So Far, An Excellent Crime Family Series

12/10/2018 I really like this series. I don't know how, but there are apparently 8 more episodes 2018-19 already in the can, so we can hopefully look forward to watching them in the near future? Kim Coates (an exceptional actor) is the primary driving force behind this series. Anthony LaPaglia and Paul Sorvino are but support actors regardless of their fame. I had to research Angela Asher who plays Renata the female family lawyer because of her unusually deep male sounding voice. (I thought maybe her voice had been dubbed/but not so) after reading that she's sometimes called "Baby Bacall" due to the similar husky voice of Lauren Bacall. This is a better than average 8/9 stars crime series, which will hopefully turn into a 10 stars or more long running criminal killers series? Either way, don't pass it by because every episode so far has driven the need for the next. Bon Appetit

Amazing series.

I loved this TV series belonging to the mafia genre. Of course, you have many clichés here, clichés that you can't avoid in the genre, impossible. But what surprised me the most is that both clans, Declan's and Teresa's, both groups of gangsters, had nearly NO TROOPS!!!, except some bikers whom they recruited during the series. Teresa and her twin brother had their Black goon, OK, but that's all. I do not remember having seen many guys around them, to help them out...the same with Declan, he did all the killings by himself, with his Black female friend in charge of some information. Concerning the inside the prison jobs, both had some influence. They had no choice anyway. But outside, except I repeat the bikers....And Teresa and her brother arriving in Canada from Italy, from their so powerful Ndrangheta mafia boss father, without no back-up, I can't believe it. That's the first time I see such a thing in a mafia series or even movie. Even the feds arriving at the hotel to arrest Teresa and her brother, ONLY FOUR COPS, without any SWAT team back-up!!!! Here, at least, you have no cliché.... But that doesn't prevent this show to be excellent, except maybe the very ending which I would have preferred to be more radical, despite the gloomy and more than bittersweet taste that leaves in the mouth.

Screw Sons of Anarchy, especially screw Mayans, I want more of this! Mom Boucher next, by the same people that did this, yesterday please!

The performances are brilliant, Kim Coates, a Canadian legend as well as others, Paul Sorvino who I met one time, are brilliant.

Canada, has a rich history in organized crime, specifically Montreal.

I'm so tired of Sons of anarchy, the Mayans MC one too. Our country Canada has plenty of brilliant crime stories just waiting to be told...

I want more

Saw both seasons in 2 days. The show is great and really could have gotten a 3rd season.

I like the format few episodes and a story that ends each season.

First season gave me underbelly feelings. Second was more of a crime drama. But both are worth a watch.

Absolutely worth a watch for any fan of SOA or Underbelly.

This show floored me

I had no clue what it was about going in, as most of my studies of the mafia are US related. Did not know much about thwor involvement in Canada. Once I heard Bonanno though, I researched heavily. Much to my surprise this show was quite accurate in its events. The first season is phenomenal viewing. It does a weird thing, it is lightning fast and short, but still grabs your attention and creates a bond with the characters. I compare this to The Sopranos, but while lacking the humor and slow character developement, it still captures the same spirit. I can't even express how much this show hooked me. Its modern in its style, but still has that old school gangster feel to it. While being quite historically correct the majority of the 1st season, it takes quite a surprising turn at the end, setting it up for a completely fictional and fresh season 2. I cant wait to watch the next season, and cant recommend the first season enough. If you like mob movies, or just crime shows in general, watch this. If the thought pf watching a series deters you because of length, watch this. Short, sweet, brutal, and to the point. With a good Damn story.

Quite enjoyable

Never watched Sopranos but understand the premise and reason why this show draws comparisons. I have been enjoying it and looking forward to the next episode.

A great second season and beautiful acting

One of the shows that keeps you going. Once you pop you can't stop. I always love mafia stories and this one is surely a entertaining one. You can't miss this one if you love Italian Mafia and The God father kind of stories.

One of the best gangsterdrama's ever!

Bad blood is like a mix of The Godfather, Sopranos and Breaking bad. I binged this fascinating story because it has it all. Within this drama of control of Montreals drugscene, the characters are fascinating. It has its funny moments too.

Best crime/drama series I've seen in 20 years

My daughter begged my to watch this with her and I'm so glad I did. After the first episode I was hooked. I binge watched the whole first season in two days. It had everything I wanted in a program: exceptional writing, amazing ensemble cast and edge of my seat excitement. It also didn't have anything I detest: constant wiggly camera work, gratuitous/graphic violence, camera scenes and angles that change every 3 seconds and excessive foul language. I had to watch the second season immediately and even though it has a fictional storyline, it still held up. I hope Kim Coates is able to convince the producers that this series deserves a third season (or more for me).

Gritty and Surprising

Loved it. As a fan of gritty series including Ozark, Yellowstone and Sons of Anarchy, I really enjoyed both seasons and would love a third season. The writing was very good, great dialogue, tension filled plots, good acting. Kim Coates is charismatic supported by a great cast. I've seen less than stellar reviews, people are entitled to their opinions. I think its well worth a third season.

Very nice

The only reason for no 10/10 is the credibility at some points. But who cares if all episodes are a rollercoaster of action and suspense. Great acting bij Kim Coates and overall a very good script. Must see.

Really amazing production

Just finished season 2 and it was even better than the first season. I feel like the writing was really on point and the characters felt like they were actually intelligent agents as opposed to puppets pushing a contrived and cliché plot. It was refreshing, the acting was excellent and the direction of photography was beautiful (except for some really bad b-roll in season 1 of Montreal, I mean cummon it's a beautiful city and the b-roll of scenic Montreal shots was complete crap). Really hoping it doesn't get cancelled for season 3
