Nice Featurette

Jeepers Creepers 2: Now and Then (2016)

*** 1/2 (out of 4)

Director-writer Victor Salva, actor Tom Tarantini, editor Ed Marx and cinematographer Don FauntLeRoy are interviewed for this twenty-two minute featurette. Salva starts off talking about the original film and how it had a huge weekend at the box office but then 9/11 happened and the film pretty much disappeared. He then starts talking about how he didn't want to do a sequel but Francis Ford Coppola finally pitched a good idea to him. From here all four men tell various stories about the production from the shooting of the film to its eventual release. If you're a fan of JEEPERS CREEPERS 2 then you'll enjoy this featurette as there are all sorts of great stories told about the production. One of the most fascinating aspects deals with Coppola wanting Randy Quaid to play the father and Salva talks about him working on the film for one day! From here we get some great stories about the production including Silva telling several stories about being able to work with a larger budget. Throughout the story Salva is really pimping out the third film in the series and a few of the ideas he has for it.
