Not one character to like

Was optimistic about this because of the actor line up, but it was like watching a horrible paint dry to an even worse color. The characters weren't likeable, and the subject matter was terrible; child abduction for sex slavery, while the main character jumps in and out of sex with the women he's using. I've watched many British mysteries and detective shows, and it just seems they're travelling down into this hell hole of horrible subject matter, and they want to make us like it. Sorry, won't go. Better writing and character development should have been done here, and I skipped the 2nd season and just read about what happened. Learn from my mistake, and avoid this.

Absolute, disappointing rubbish!!

I have just finished watching this series of Save Me. What an absolute waste of time. The cast are well chosen and professional but are let down badly by the story line and the direction. Let down very badly. The plot is a conventional step-dad searches for abducted daughter tale which is presented with little depth of character and many amateurish twists and turns. It moves slowly for the first four episodes and then, in an attempt to speed it up, the plot goes completely ridiculous. I watch most British dramas and this is the WORST I have in a very long time. Absolute rubbish. If you want to enjoy a properly made abduction drama go for Taken P1+P2. Vastly superior to this nonsense. This is the first time I have posted a review of any TV show but In this case I felt it needed to be done. Thank you for your time.

This made no sense pretty much throughout. Totally unrealistic. Complete waste of 6 hours.

Unbelievable Rubbish

Implausible and ridiculous plot, most unlikely characters, long winded and utterly boring.

Stupid!

If you like endless babble, one stupid decision after another and 2 seasons that should have been condensed into 1 hour, well then this is the show for you.

Utter dross

I thought the arrest scene in episode one was awful, but I stayed with it in the hope things would improve. Sadly, it was all downhill with idiotic characters arguing about nothing and generally talking in riddles. Utter and complete rubbish!

Poor Suranne

The best example I have seen why one should not write and play in his own film. Lennie James has been given free rein, where are the cowriters? Have rarely heard worse dialogue. And the story as such is too much. Absolutely impossible to live in or find exciting in any way. Sad Suranne Jones felt obliged to say yes to this role.
