    Inarguably the most emotional episode...

INARGUABLY the best episode as per "even-you-can-write-reviews.com" presented by a guy from a small town within the heart if Bengaluru-South, India-South, all South. Yet globally positioned in the north and yet receive weather like in the southern hemisphere of the globe... What else can I say the minimum chars required is still noyt reached "astonishingly" I might be running out if words and yet many flop movies/worst movies/never again watch movies, series cqn get away with ut but "surprisingly" a fan cannot get away with single line/multi line/paragraph based reviews is "astonishing". God bless this generation, god bless the modern era, god bless Us all. Thank you DK. Shi & D. Tru.

    Why wasn't Leonard's Mother at Sheldon & Amy's wedding?

Can anyone tell me why Leonard's mother wasn't at the wedding?? Was it mentioned on the episode? I just thought her absence was strange since they always kept in touch. Maybe I just missed the mention, but I couldn't find an answer anywhere else on line.

    Actually Pretty Good

Lots of celebrities at the big wedding. Kathy Bates and Teller play Amy's parents. She is a virago. Wil Wheaton is set to do the ceremony but through a coincidence Mark Hamill officiates. There are some fun plot developments as things go on. It's science to the bitter end. Even Kripke shows his amazing talents.

The worst drag in a season that dragged were the "preparations" for Sheldon and Amy's marriage. For this reason, I wasn't looking forward to this episode.

Now I think that the season dragged because they saved all the best for last.

Everything happens, and more. Kathy Bates and Teller show up as Amy's parents, with both giving an indeleble impression of their characters. However, even if it is normal for famour actors/celebrities to appear in the show, the way they introduced Mark Hamill was a bolt from the blue. A moment of genius in scripwriting.

The best thing of this episode is that it was a sort of happening, with all the recurring characters showing up along with a storm of celebrities (even Hamill's daughter has a cameo). Everybody had his moment to shine within a storyline that covered from Amy's and Sheldon decisive breakthrough in their research - while everybody else was waiting them for the cerimony! - to Penny scolding unsuffereable parents in a way that closed even my mouth.

And then there was the marriage itself, which was honestly moving. I really liked how they showed that, yes, Sheldon can feel love, without betraying his character.

I agree that we should have seen Sheldon's mee-maw and Leonard's mother - but, honestly, the episode should have lasted 15 minutes more. As it is, it is already packed to the brim.

A great season finale and one of the most memorable episodes of the series. It doesn't beat the "Scavenger Hunt" one (what does?) but IMHO it is up there with the best.

    • Trivia
According to the producers, the role of Amy's father Larry was not written with the plan or idea of Teller playing the part. It was only upon the script's being finalized when the producers realized that Teller would be the perfect person for the part.
    • Goofs
Before the wedding, Mary and Missy Cooper are shown sitting in the front row, Raj is behind Mary, and Georgie is sitting in the 3rd row next to the side aisle. During the wedding, there is a closeup of Georgie and Missy sitting next to each other in the front row.
    • Quotes

Amy Farrah Fowler: Sheldon, when I was a little girl, I used to dream about my wedding. But, eventually, I stopped, because I thought that day would never come. And then I met you. From the first moment in that coffee shop, I knew that there was something special between us, even though I did work on a study that disproved love at first sight.

Sheldon Cooper: I loved that study the moment I read it. Ironic, huh?

Amy Farrah Fowler: Clearly, it was wrong. Because I felt something that day, and those feelings have only gotten stronger with time. I can't imagine loving you more than I do right now. But I felt that way yesterday and the day before yesterday and the day before that.

Sheldon Cooper: Is that growth linear or accelerating?

      Amy Farrah Fowler: Accelerating.

Sheldon Cooper: Oh, maybe we could graph it out.

Leonard Hofstadter: Save something for the honeymoon.

      Sheldon Cooper: Smart.

Amy Farrah Fowler: Sheldon, I don't know what the future holds, but I know that I've never been happier than I am in this moment marrying you.

Mark Hamill: [choking up] Well, that was unexpectedly beautiful. I might need a minute.

      CHUCK LORRE PRODUCTIONS, #590

This last year feels like it happened in a fog... if fog made noise... if fog never shut up... if fog hated... if fog lied. There were many times that writing comedy seemed besides the point. Perfectly irrelevant. Laughing at the human condition, at the shared minutiae of life, suddenly felt like a shallow luxury, a mindless distraction from this toxic cloud that enveloped and poisoned everything. But what other choice was there? Get up in the morning and do... what? Write drama? (Lordy, can you imagine the faces of my bosses at Warner Bros. if I told them I wanted to write drama? I can. Their eyes are wide and they're smiling and nodding, but if you listen closely you can hear their sphincters tighten.) Doesn't really matter. I couldn't write drama anyway. In second grade my teacher Miss Gosden told my parents I was the class clown, and perhaps I wasn't getting enough attention at home. Nothing's changed. Anyway, not seeing any other options, comedy was written this year. Comedy was performed, directed, produced and edited. And, despite the fog, willfully ignoring the fog, I found myself able to laugh. And I hope you laughed too. Maybe that's all we can do. Maybe the great, multi-cultural, humanistic American experiment will end with a chuckle. Lordy.
