Lotta negative reviews from superfans of the original series. If you go into The Guardian Code with the expectation of a revival/duplication of the original Reboot, you will be sorely disappointed. But if you're okay with watching a fun, lively, well-performed series that will remind you of the cheesy digital superhero shows of the 90s (Superhuman Samurai Syber-Squad, VR Troopers, etc.) with loose tie-ins to Reboot, you'll have a good time with this one. The actors are great, the production value is decent, and the plot lines were good enough to hold my attention. Will I rewatch the series? 33% probability of that. Glad I gave it a shot, tho.

I loved Reboot as a kid. I would've loved this as a teen. Unfortunately as an adult it's hard to stomach.
Pretty loosely tied to the original series, so a lot of the magic of the original series is missing here. Instead this feels like TRON but aimed at a young audience. Nothing very original here.
The CGI's not the best in the world, but it's watchable. The script and acting isn't half bad either. I honestly expected it to be a lot worse.
