This was a tough, but brilliant episode.

There have been many episodes of Silent Witness over the years that I would class as a tough watch, but this must surely class as the toughest of the lot. A brilliantly made episode which dealt with a tragic story. Superb performances all round, but how good was the actor playing Kevin, he was just marvellous, a true and honest performance. Charlie Creed Miles manages to be a villain with such ease, his character made me feel sick to my stomach. Great to get more backstory for Clarissa, such a sad past, but as always Liz Carr dazzles in every single scene, she is becoming the best of the main characters. Harrowing and massively controversial, but brilliant.

Hard to Watch

This episode gets into the ugliness of the treatment of mentally handicapped people. The episode begins with a woman who is drugged dying in a car when she runs into a truck. She has a son living in a home. He is aggressive and violent, but the place he lives in is a horror. He is mistreated and verbally abused. There is a young woman who lives next door to him with whom he has a relationship. We are introduced to the abuser. There is a second case that will be interesting to watch. The episode ends tragically.
