I don't know where these lower reviews are coming from but I'm guessing they don't have age appropriate kids. This show is just charming with very catchy music without the addictive brainrot of shows like cocomelon. It's also not some sesame street knockoff, it just reminds me of older shows like lamb chop (but waaaay better). I think it might not be enough to hold the attention of kids older than maybe 5, but I don't like the effect that older kids shows have on my younger kids. It's just 10 minutes of a gentle lesson with good songs, I feel very comfortable with my kids watching one or two while I cook dinner. It's just nice to see something new and not animated.
I wasn't sure how much I'd like this show, but it's fun to watch with my kids, and my kids actually request watching it! It's similar to the Fred Penner show, beautiful music, good lessons! It brings back the nostalgia of the kids shows from my childhood... fun, but with little life lessons. Moral lessons like learning how to take accountability for your actions (good or bad), the importance of apologizing, and loving people for who they are inside. There are also episodes with little lessons like learning how to make the most of a rainy day, problem solving, or cleaning up.
My 3 year old will sit and watch the shows on repeat, though my older kids like watching it too. They love the songs and want to listen to the soundtrack in the car! The music is great, so I'm happy to let them listen to it while we drive.

I have four kids, ages one, three, five, and seven. They all love it. Even my one year old asks for Gus by name. My two youngest dance to the opening song, and my two oldest sing along. At the end of each episode, there is a custom song recapping the the lesson the kids should have learned. Classic sesame Street was my one year old's favorite show, now he wants "guss". For a dad with four younger children, it is becoming rare to find children shows that don't push an agenda on young minds. I never need to pre screen any of these episodes, Gus Plus Us is always appropriate for my kids.
I wish I could give it more than 10 stars.

I don't know who's giving it low stars. I can't imagine anyone actually watching this with toddlers or young children and not loving it. The songs are original, fun, and at times really beautifully done. The theme song alone gets my girls happier and more excited than any other show. It's sweet, and has some funny one liners for parents as well (off the top of my head, Death Star and Pluto jokes in "Space Adventure")
Gus and Karrot are adorable, you just wish you could hug them, and Lucy is SO likeable. I can think of another show in this age group with a lead female that is so annoying to me, but Lucy really grows on you. And wow, what a voice!
I think it's great! Very original, educational, wholesome, and a ton of fun 😁

Most shows today try and copy others. This show is a fresh new original inspired by old and new. Our family loves the music and the characters that bring so much light. We find ourselves quoting and singing along after watching each episode. It gets stuck in your head! We hope they continue more seasons as our family is looks forward to each new episode. Karrot is our favorite, she is clever and speaks gibberish. The kids can't get enough of her. Lucy is played by a homeschool mom who creates the show with her husband and kids. The quality of this show is out of this world! I recommend it to every family.
