Ignoring Clarke's nonsense. Everything's fine. Here comes the conclusion of the story. Next episode they gonna unleases everything and that's gonna be fun.
It's difficult to understand, as a scriptwriter myself, how in just one episode, we can have terrible plots and sudden, unexpected characters turning from very high functioning sociopaths who used to be leaders to straight up psychopaths, willing to cause emotional, psychological and physical harm "because I love you and I must protect you". I can enjoy a morally grey, high functioning sociopath, but not this psychopath that I know will survive until the end of the show. Well, I can enjoy a character who was introduced as someone who cared for the wellbeing of "their people", who turned a high functioning sociopath (definitely genetic inherited trait plus the extreme traumatic conditions and experiences of life on post-apocaliptic US), turned full psychopath, but I don't trust the writers and the showrunner to deliver.
That's all because I don't want to spoil anything. I didn't remember that I disliked this character so much since so early.
This is my re-watching on Netflix after watching this show during its original broadcast.

Mentally ill helicopter mother strikes back. Got a cognitive dissonance after this. Everything else was good though.
It took me a long time to come to this point, but Clarke officially annoys the living daylights out of me. Enough is enough. I get why she is protective, but there is a line. And she crossed it tenfold.
The war itself is pretty intense. It is hard to see people fighting each other when you don't 100% know who to root for, though compared to the rest of the season, choosing sides on this one is a bit easier.
However, there were a lot of shocking but also emotional moments, that make this episode more than worth watching, proving once more that season 5 might just deserve to be considered the best season of The 100 yet.

I swear it's getting ridiculous, every episode characters switch sides for no logical reason! And they forgive and trust each other afterwards so easily! So stupid.

- TriviaDamocles (Greek for "fame of the people") is a character from a moral anecdote and an allusion to the imminent and ever-present peril faced by those in positions of power.
- GoofsClarke along with Abby make a false comparison between Abby arranging for the 100 to be sent to Earth and Clarke's drastic actions to keep Madi safe. All of the 100 were sentenced to death, so sending them to Earth gave all of them their only chance of living to adulthood. Whereas Clarke actively contributes to the death of hundreds who otherwise might survive rather than allow Bellamy, Gaia and others to protect Madi from Octavia.
