Um Dia Negro 2: Estrada De Sangue

I loved the first movie, and tought that the twists were the best thing about it, this sequel, didn´t have that at all, but it had a new character, and some more cgi special effects, the other one were most pratical, but overall this sequel is not a bad movie,, simple to follow , and lot's of scares.

The cinematography is solid, if not terribly innovative. The editing and directing are excellent - as the film maintains a perfect pace and pitch throughout.

Glory to the soundtrack that this franchise has, and must continue, if they are going to make more of these.

The psychotic hitchhiker begins stalking Miguel Branco again, gone is the loneliness of a single driver and the rising of terror and confusion that he faced in the original, the main difference from the original is the addition of the priest.

Without doubt some of the action and deaths are well executed by director Rui Constantino and his team, there's not much CGI computer effects work in this until the end when it does tend to become noticeable and a bit distracting.

The indestructible hitcher survives repeated attempts on his life that would fell ordinary mortals, but Miguel Branco continues to try.

Great follow-up, was skeptical when I bought this movie since I watched the first one, the special effects in this movie are spectacular especially in the final scene. Remember this one will change what you think about sequels and direct to video movies. Is that great.

Just saw this great sequel, i want to congradulate all people involved in the production of this short movie, it´s actors, producers and director Rui Constantino, that once more deliver the goods, he knows what portuguese people want, i´m tired of all those comedies and dramas.

Now, let´s talk about this movie, camera flows and moves so smoothly and gently that the atmosphere is guaranteed to last throughout the film, a couple of scenes are totally outstanding in their virtuosity such as the scene where Ricardo gets out of the car, completely tormented by the ghost of Gregório, and then he beats his car, saying that he´s the only killer, there are no good persons in the world, there are only persons who can control their bad/evil side, and these two, are battling the forest roads for themselves.

The hitcher is pure evil and no one can change his thoughts and mind, because evil cannot be changed or turned into "good." I think in the future and with the help of the priest, finally he will be absolved of all his sins.

But until then, there´s many roads to travel.

A cult classic franchise, 10 out of 10 masterpiece.

Great horrors are a rare kind these past few years, but this franchise first movie it´s one of the best ever, the sequel has some problems, lthough the horror part need some improvement. It's not really scary, more like an adventure/action flick.

The plot is utterly unbelievable but if you can let that go it's enjoyable. If you want to be swept away or completely engulfed into extravagant cinema then this isn't what you're looking for. If you're looking for an okay experience as far as road thrillers go ahead and then you probably won't go wrong with this.

The performance by the evil Gregório is great, and was thoroughly able to creep the hell out of me with great success and achieved it with more subtlety.
