Mary is invited by Pastor Jeff to work with him at the secretary of the church. However, Meemaw refuses to babysit Sheldon and Missy after school until Mary arrives home. George and Meemaw convince Mary that it will be a great experience to the twins staying home alone for a couple of hours to increase their maturity. But the day one is not how Mary expected to be.
"Potato Salad, a Broomstick, and Dad's Whiskey" is an episode hilarious of "Young Sheldon" from the beginning to the very end. It is difficult to list the best scenes, but Sheldon and Missy with the portable fire-extinguisher throwing the fluid in Meemaw is probably the funniest. My vote is eight.

Another episode with lots of lovely moment and interactions, and I liked the fact that this one paired Sheldon up with Missy particularly. The two child actors have good chemistry.
I wouldn't say this show is overly laugh out loud funny, perhaps it's because I prefer multi-camera shows, but it cannot be denied that this spin-off/prequel has very quickly learnt to stand on its own two feet, and is very capable of producing a quick-moving, funny, and indeed charming run of episodes.
I look forward to seeing where it leads as the first series progresses, because it is proving to be a rather charming affair right now!

Ah, Yes. The 1st Episode Of Young Sheldon I Saw In History, & Boy Was It Amazing. As I Watch More Episodes, I Adore This Show, Immeaditely. I Somehow Think It's Better Than BBT.
Anyways, On With The Review. So, This Episode Is About When Pastor Jeff Needs Mary's Help. Mary Decides Since Nobody Would Look Out For Missy & Sheldon To Have Them Take Care Of Each-Other. Then When Sheldon End Up Getting A Splinter From A Broomstick, He Gets Help From His Twin-Sister By Having Her Use Twezzers To Get It Out. So, Things Ended Well As They Proved Their Parents That They Took Care Of Each-Other, Even 1 Helping Another Getting A Splinter Out.
Man, That Was A Heartwarming Episode. Missy Was Very Supportive To Her Twin-Brother By Having His Help. I Hope S7 Has These 2 Twin Belovers Get Along For The Final Season.
RATING: Amazing Episode (100/100). My Fav S1 Episode.

- TriviaSheldon is reading "I, Robot" by Isaac Asimov. This book lays out the Three Laws of Robotics, which play a role in several episodes of The Big Bang Theory (2007). He will also form an Isaac Asimov book club later in the show with his college professors.
- GoofsWhen Sheldon and Missy spray Meemaw with the fire extinguisher, it produces a cloud of CO2 gas, but the next shot shows Connie covered in foam, which that type of extinguisher should not produce. EDIT: The CO2 extinguisher left Meemaw covered with frost, not foam.
