When I saw the first film I thought it was decent and good, but after watching the sequel I can honestly say I much prefer this film compared to the first film. Elizabeth and Donovan have a much better relationship and although there were still a few bumps, their love and relationship grew more stronger because of it. Aunt Violet is back and it was so annoying and wrong of her to take complete control over the wedding. In the end though, Elizabeth and Donovan got married in exactly the kind of wedding Elizabeth first imagined and in the end they finally get their long awaited happily ever after.
I give the movie a 5 just because I loved the first one. I feel as if Elizabeth's character should not have been so much complaining the wedding should have been about both there parents an not so much about her an so being complex. But all in all it work out at the end. It needs to be a part three Titling "The Darcy's Honeymoon" .
Elizabeth came off as spoilt and silly in this sequel, constantly pouting and nitpicking. Imagine having a hissy fit because your fiance didn't disclose that he was working overtime so he could take a month off to take you on a round the world honeymoon! And fussing even more because you were afraid to stand up for yourself and get the wedding that you always dreamed about. I just wished the writers would have done better with her storyline. Poor Donovan had the patience of Job in this one!
I knew from the beginning that this was going to be a dud. There was no romance at all but drama and silly drama! I could barely get through it.
Nice sequel to Unleashing Mr. Darcy. When the movie first started, I wondered where the dramatic tension would come from but, as the train pulled out of the station, it was a good ride. Everyone (dogs included) does a good job driving the story. One small quibble is that the locations are obviously in B.C. not NYC. But that's not surprising for Hallmark nor really a complaint.
