I wish it were better

As a Christian, I wanted to like this more than I did. The pastor is annoying because he can't seem to have a conversation without interjecting religious phrases into the discussion. "Dr. Tiffany", when faced with a soldier experiencing PTSD, also resorts to religious appeals rather than employing any of her skillset as a Ph. D. in psychology. Very few Christian movies are anything more than evangelism appeal - it would be nice to see a fuller, more realistic story that incorporates the true ups and downs of life, and the difficulties of dealing with life on life's terms.

Very real issues

I like that this movies addresses PTSD and how debilitating it can be. I appreciated how the movie reinforces how we are all broken and dependent on God. The Donnie character is an excellent example of what can happen when we try to take care of things on our own.

See It for a Different Reason

I have a tale to tell of this film's production. My wife and I were going through a rough patch without work. I'd met Rob on set for a Blumhouse pic and I guess he heard about our predicament and liked our work because, next thing, Ty and Bishop showed up in L. A. (not LA as Rob would point out!), took us out to dinner and cigars and offered us a few VFX paint-fix shots. It wasn't much and it was hard work. But it put food on the table for a month when we needed it even though the guys could have gotten it cheaper elsewhere. We comped our hearts out and did passable work but Ty and Bishop gushed with praise: something we needed to hear. So please go see it for the caring hearts that made it. We'll not forget what they did for us. Thanks and maximum respect to Rob, Ty and Bishop! Y'all are our heroes.

The message was very beautiful.

So the acting on some of the members of the cast could need some tweaking but overall the mesaage and his story was very sweet, the core of it was what got my 10 stars, enough to make me shed a tear 🌻

Great story

Really enjoyed the story and theme.

A film about redemption, would definitely recommend this for the entire family.

Laughed at some of the lines from the roof and air conditioning repair man.

WELL DONE!

I'd like to say the Writer, Director and Producers of this film have done a phenomenal job. Definitely can tell they put a lot of thought into the locations and the cast chosen. I really enjoyed seeing some familiar faces in this film. Excited to see more maybe even another sequence of My Brother's Keeper. Lets keep the story going make it even more juicer now that the cast has gotten comfortable knowing one another for a while... what y'all think?

Overall, I enjoyed seeing a film made in the city I grew up in. Making it even more possible for young creatives like me to connect with more likeminded individuals due to more films now being made in the Tri-City area.

Great movie!

For "I wish it were better"... don't say you're a Christian, as you don't know anything about Christian people, for you it's just a word.

For all the others... wonderful movie! The same story... ego, proud, guilt, fault, anger, hate, forgiveness, apologies, love, plans, faith, friendship and God over everything, because God is all and all we need... yes the same old story, but when we will learn it? When the man will learn that God have always plans for them, even when it seems the contrary, because of loss, damage, misfortune, accident and so on. God gave us the free will, this means that we can follow Him or we can choose another way and do everything by ourselves. The only difference is that following Him will take us to Him and changing path. Sooner or later, will find ourselves in trouble. It's up to us, it's our choice, it's our life. This movie is very good, because it shows us all that I described and even more. It's not just a movie, it's the life, our life as human beings. Very well acting. A director who knows his job and offers us a movie that has a perfect pace. What about the story? Absolutely perfect, nothing forced, but of course, if you deny the existence of God, then nothing might have sense for you, I'm sorry, it's your life, it's your choice, and nobody will say to you... you have to have faith, you have to believe in God, no way. You have to decide for yourself, but please, don't think that giving a bad score will change your poor (if you think I'm talking about money, you really got nothing) life, Good luck!

9 stars.
