I LOVED this movie. Just cheesey and gory and funny and campy and pure enjoyment.
I've watched enough let's plays of Five Nights At Freddy's to have recognized the plot just from the description, so I was expecting Nic Cage to chew on the scenery of gore and jump scares. I would have been fine with something a little lame but with that certain Cage flair.
Instead, I got something surprisingly good. The cinematography was balanced, with little bits of surreal and fun angles, but never so much to become distracting. Good color scheme and lighting, and the creature design really captured that slightly terrifying look of way-back-when Chuck E Cheese.
I enjoyed how the script was full of tropes, but the actors carried it well, and everything came across well. Almost like everyone was having fun, wanted the audience to enjoy themselves, but they took it just serious enough to deliver good performances.
The whole movie is right on that edge of camp and parody, without necessarily being played for laughs like a comedy. Something more like Evil Dead 2 or Kung Fury; love and enjoyment of the genres without mockery.
That being said, this is NOT a horror or even really a thriller. It gets those labels because it needs some kind of genre, but it really fits in its own little niche, and it will NOT be for everyone. But as a popcorn/drinking-with-friends movie, it really hits the spot.
And I cannot understate how much Nic Cage was absolutely himself, dialed to 11. Sold every scene, and stole most of them. All without a single line of dialogue. That really was the cherry on top, and I gave an extra star and a half for his performance.

If you watch movies to actually enjoy your time then go for it, if you are some sick perfectionist (like most of the 1/10 raters here) who's expecting every movie to be of Nolan's plot, actors and script, then this is not a movie for you nor a place for you to downrate such an entertaining product.
I think that some elements could be improved. I know that people wanted to see a Fnaf movie but I think that the movie is going to be better if you don't expect a horror movie. So as a casual movie watcher it was good, not perfect but good if you don't expect something big.

If you loved the trailer, you'll get what you wanted.
It's a higher end B-Movie in the vein of 'good' B-Movies like Evil Dead 2 and is just a joy ride.
This isn't a masterpiece, but high marks for possibly creating a new kind of genre.
It has troupes galore, it keeps itself from becoming campy, is kinda hazy in the serious department but is saved by everyone giving an honest performance when opportunity for hammy it up was ripe.
There's a little mix up in some of the artsy cinematography. From a B-movie it's the main thing that keeps it from reaching 'masterpiece' B-Movie territory. There's many other things to nitpick, and with some better acting here, better dialogue there, and a more cohesive alignment with various things....could have launched it to the stratosphere.
Point being. This is great, for what it is. Overall, this is something. Refreshing and possibly new.
Nic Cage has been kicking out tons of junk movies for years now. But about once a year, he's in a Diamond of a movie. Zero lines? He pulls it off. It's his 2021 diamond.

I'm not sure why there are so many bad reviews for this movie. Nicolas Cage doesn't have a single word of dialogue in this film and he is outstanding in the role. This movie takes Chucky Cheese and imagines it as a run-down slice of hell, where people go in, but never come out. Add in a bunch of teenagers to kill... I mean, add their support, and you have a beautifully bizarre horror movie in which Cage steals the entire film. The scene with Cage playing pinball and struggling to help one of the teenagers alone is worth a ticket. Do yourself a favour and see this movie - it's way better than its rating suggests.
In this bizarre film produced by Nicolas Cage, we see him as a tough guy facing off against a group of evil animatronics, making this film a fun parody of what would normally be a horror film. Curiously, one of the discarded scripts from the adaptation of Five Nights At Freddy's was used and it shows that there is a certain inspiration. The animatronics are quite bizarre and amazing. The funny thing is that they are supposed to be the threat, but Nicolas Cage does a twist when facing them. With a retro style, humorous moments and good special effects, Willy's Wonderland is a fun dark humor film with guaranteed entertainment. My final rating for this movie is a 9/10.

If you all have watched the fnaf film with your kids like myself then my mind came straight back to this film. Although cheesy it's just so good and so much better than fnaf. I've come back to this a few times when struggling to find something to watch or listen to in the background but always end up actually watching it. This is possibly in my top 10 because it's so corny and ridiculous but I love it. If you loved Nicholas cage and got disappointed all those years ago by ghost rider like myself. The new direction he has gone with his movie career possibly isn't bad but he is clearly doing it for himself and us. He doesn't even speak in this but done an amazing job.

There's nothing quite like this movie. If you want to see an A lister silently plow through a B horror plot, look no further! Great movie to have on while doing other things. Fun and dumb. Literally dumb 🤣

A motorist stranded in Nowheresville is offered a strange proposition: spend the night at a deserted amusement house and clean it up in return for putting his motor back on the road. He accepts, and there follows a night of horror, for him and the youthful intruders who are intent on burning the place down from the noblest of motives. Fortunately, one of their number doesn't feel right about torching the place with him still inside, equally fortunately, he is the strong silent type, so silent in fact that he doesn't utter a word throughout the entire film.
This one certainly doesn't lack for originality, and the soundtrack isn't bad either.

If you went into this movie thinking it's a serious thriller when you knew it was Nic Cage fighting robot animals, well that's on you. This is pure Nic Cage weirdness at its best. It's campy and stereotypical and over the top slasher beauty. This movie is a lot of fun and although filmed in a serious manner, it obviously doesn't take itself too seriously. All the characters are textbook stereotypes and they are acted well. There isn't too much of a script to ruin the action. The gore is there without being distracting. It's exactly what the world needs to just enjoy and not get too serious.

Would be a ten except that the scenes Cage is not in, it drops off into boring, predictable slasher-film fare. When the first animatronic comes after Cage, he does not look scared or even surprised. It was almost like he is expecting it. A nice touch is how he repairs himself with ductape as though he is a machine and the machines are alive! The plot stretches belief like how these are supernatural killers with uncanny strength yet after one of them drags a full grown officer out of the car screaming, the petite girl conks him in the head and it goofily falls to its knees. Also, you can clearly see the mask on the head of the actress playing the fairy and she just walks around like a robot with it on. The lead girl is like that wacky sidekick in Employee of the Month and Napolean Dynamite whose main job is just to stare in awkward silence. Presumably she was chosen for her giant saucer-like eyes more than her acting ability. Great music including a haunting 80's-sounding new-wave style willys wonderland theme towards the end plus that annoying but catchy Chucky-Cheese style birthday song. Great movie, glad they made it!
This movie is extremely unique, my father is the toughest film critic and he even dug it. It is different, weird, strange, occult, and did I already say unique? Nicolas Cage can pick some strange roles but this takes the cake. I'm not going to give anything away but all is needed in this movie is his great facial expressions. Sure the younger acting isn't all there but it doesn't matter. Everything else makes up for that. The music chosen and the silly songs used are perfect. I could write about this movie all day long but I'm keeping it general for people who just want the gist without giving anything away. Watch it!!!

Alright, it doesn't make much sense most of the time, but it gives you a good laugh! It's the strangest movie I've watched, by far, but it doesn't mean it's a bad movie, this is probably one of the funniest movies I've seen, and while some of the graphics aren't as good as some other 2021 ones, it's a really good movie!
Movie is ridiculous. Acting is horrible. Plot is DUMB. Dialogue is horrible. You don't root for any of the idiotic characters. Definitely not scary. But very fun to watch, with lots of laughing during the "scary" parts. I love (?) that he keeps cleaning (and drinking) in between each poorly choreographed fight scene.

This movie isn't meant to be taken seriously. Sit back & enjoy it for what it is: entertainment. It's Nick Cage, for Christ's sake. How can you not like it?
5 Night at Freddy's with Nick Cage!!!
And it's something different. Nothing creepier than those old animitrons
Loved it.

Not one mention from the critics on how talkative the Cage man was...not a single line was uttered by home. Total badass move. Don't get me wrong, a horrible film but an absolute cutey in it. So off the wall film but I don't expect less from the Cage-man.

Willy's Wonderland knows exactly what it is, good dumb fun. A silent Nicholas Cage acting bad ass against animatronic killers. It's B-movie gold. The time moves quickly and is never boring. If you want a fun movie to watch with friends, throw back a few beers and have a great time.
This is a fun movie. I've always loved Nic Cage. He's a very versatile actor. Willy's Wonderland is fun, weird, hilarious, and out of the norm. I don't know how to even explain the plot other than animatronics and a badass Nic Cage. I highly recommend if you're looking for a different kind of horror movie.

Willys Wonderland is an honest to god fever dream of a movie. It's basically Nicholas Cage taking on 5 Nights At Freddies in the vibe of The Unbearable Weight Of Massive Talent all without saying a single word the entire time. The only difference is he is not locked in there with the creepy monsters, instead they're locked in there with him as he systematically brutalizes them all one at a time. I'm not even joking, he tortures, kills and absolutely demolishes every single creepy monster the movie has to throw at him.
Honestly the storyline is pretty simple, there's nothing crazy or out of this world about it. But it's done really well, it's fun, it's entertaining and I really liked it. Even if it doesn't make the most sense, again as I said before it's basically a fever dream on steroids, with Nicholas Cage.
The cast is also pretty great. We have the incredible Nicholas Cage as our leading man, who somehow manages to bring his character to life all without speaking a single word. Seriously this truly is an outstanding performance from him and I'm not sure if anyone else could have played the character he does. We then have the absolutely stunning Caylee Cowan playing Kathy, The stunningly, beautiful Emily Tosta as Liv along with an unknown at least to me rest of the cast, but who all do good jobs in their respective roles.
The VFX and SFX are great as well. The soundtrack definitely helps to set the mood through every scene, while the VFX makes every single kill and death absolutely crazy to witness.
Overall a very well deserved 9/10 from me. The storyline is simple, but really enjoyable if not kind of crazy. The casting is great, like seriously Nicholas Cage's performance is superb and all the other actors and actresses do a great job, while the VFX and SFX truly bring the movie together and make it what it is.

I was told about this movie by a friend from work at first I wasn't expecting much but omg was it the funniest movie I've seen in a long time, Nick cage becomes Nick rage 😂 the movie was enjoyable the whole way thru , the best part would of had to been the fact Nick doesn't talk at all I just think that added character to the movie, it almost would of been weird for him to talk o be honestly, definitely recommend this movie to anyone who enjoys a easy to watch horror comedy movie, you should hopefully enjoy it as much as I did 😀
