Epigraph of the Closed Curve: Closed Epigraph

This episode pushes the emotional weight even further. Okabe comes face to face with Amadeus Kurisu, and it's almost unbearable to watch. She sounds like her, speaks like her, but she isn't really her-and that's what makes it so haunting. The way he reacts is subtle, but you can feel the storm inside him. He wants to stay calm, to act like nothing's wrong, but every word from her is a punch to the heart. I liked how the episode took its time, not rushing the emotional impact. The dinner scene with Mayuri shows how much Okabe is hiding behind a mask. Maho also begins to show more personality, and it's nice to see a different kind of scientist in the cast. This episode isn't loud or dramatic-it's heavy in a quiet way, and it makes you reflect. Steins;Gate 0 is clearly going for something more personal and tragic. So far, it's working.

Another excellent episode which open up the potential of so many interesting plot lines its hard to list them all. This also is highly emotional as Okabe starts interacting with amadeus. I need to note that while I think this is an excellent episode its essential that anyone who watches this has also watched the entire 1st series, OVA and movie. Without that about 80% of the impact will be lost and this would become a very average episode and TV-Series.
