I enjoyed this instalment quite a bit, the script focused much less on battles with nothing at stake and more on our characters, making us care for them so when the next battle or death does come round we are invested and effected. Yennefer and Tissaia were the highlight for me here. MyAnna Buring is delightfully hatable and Anya Chalotra brings a great and much needed humanity to the show. Unfortunately we don't get any of that incredible fight choreography this episode and we're still a little confused as to wether the show wants to commit to being gritty or light-hearted, the two don't mix. I'd also like to mention how fantastic the makeup is in this episode, really great stuff, reminded me of Pan's Labyrinth. Overall I'm going to give "Four Marks" a 7.9/10
Wish the person who rated this a 1 star because they didn't used a disabled actress for Yennifer would of watched a little more before shooting their mouth off, there is an obvious reason for it...smh.
Not much of action, but rather introducing a new character named Yennefer and focusing on her story. The writers had gone way too deep into her story, it could have been shortened. Again, the mix of the 3 timelines makes it a confusing but intriguing watch.
4 out of 5 stars.
Yennifer is introduced. A character that has a twisted spine. And joins a group for training. Her character is interesting. Geralt gets a tasked to stop a beast from destroying another mans land. And he meets a side kick. Which can be a little annoying. The script and direction continues with this world building. Good acting. Action. And storytelling.

I should not have to read the book to understand what is going on. The show is not taking the time to explain things properly or at least this is how I feel at this point. Maybe things will come together, but somehow I feel like I am being cheated out of many aspects of the original story. I guess I will just have to read the book to fully understand it. This should not be the case.
