Go and give us something?
It was just good enough to keep us watching until the last episode and we basically got nothing ALL season but in the last 5 minutes they give us everything and leave on like 4 cliffhangers so we have to wait another 2 years and most likely nothing will come of it like at the end of last season and start of this season.
That being said I still eat this up it's sooo awful that is good? Honourable mentions: Erin and Danny and Kylie and Dylan I loved these couples.

Sorry not sorry....
I refuse to apologise for the fact that I finished this show within less than a week. Yes, the acting is average but who actually cares? Does no one want to watch mindless teen dramas anymore? Since when did we all start analysing TV shows that were clearly not made to showcase elite acting and plots as if they all have to be emmy nominated performances? Who ACTUALLY cares. If its watchable I'm going to be invested!!!!
I enjoyed it to keep it simple. It was addictive, easy to binge and I was invested. Just a shame that annoying alex kept coming back. I hope they play out the Jackie and Cole plot more in S3 instead of starving me.
One note- please someone stop Alex from smiling. It was incredibly disturbing.

disturbing premise
So a young teen girl with serious family trauma is placed with a family of boys. 2 of them start immediately making goo goo eyes at her. If my sons behaved with women and girls like either Alex and Cole do, they would get a massive talking to. The girl is in the care of two adults, who should be putting the brakes on their sons and having a word to Jackie too. The talk should be going along the lines of 'Don't poop in the nest'. And respect women. Firstly you have Alex, a squinty looking character with a slightly mean smile that doesn't reach his eyes. Giving off massive, passive aggressive incel "I'm not talking to you" sulky vibes, for the most part. Shudder- scary red flag that one. Then you have Cole who is a dishy looking man, who is a 'player', but seems more relatable and safe as a person with his career ups and downs. At least what you see is what you get- a player is a player. Problem is , he looks 28 years old and it is positively creepy he is chasing after Jackie. If you can look past those two extremely weird male characters, and poor parenting, then what you might find yourself enjoying is a mindless fluff piece that is entertaining enough.
Inheritance?
I agree with the other reviewer, the whole entire time I was watching the show I kept on wondering why Jackie could not help out the Walter family with some money from her inheritance. Her Mom was supposedly successful in the fashion industry. There is no way her parents would not have made some kind of accommodations in case of an emergency. This made no sense and really took away from the believability of the story. I never read the book, so was not familiar with the story line or the characters. Some of the acting seemed rather stiff, I am not really sure if this show is worth a second season.
This is not as bad as the reviews make out
So, i watch quite a lot of shows and mostly crime thrillers so dramas like this don't usually appeal to me. However I enjoyed this i loved the concept of a big family, the farm nice sceneries, the brothers and the sisters. This is so much better than the summer i turned pretty and honestly deserves a watch. Team Cole all the way. Love the dynamics of all the characters and chemistry between them too. I also like the adult relationships and there characters as well. Looking forward to S2 hopefully it is a bit more spicy and hope they don't take ages releasing it or are too slow with carrying on some story lines.
