An entertaining movie, really well made. Great performance from all the lead actors, especially Aishwarya Rajesh.
With better editing it would be a great movie, gets bogged down a bit at times.
Liked the way it deftly manages into weave multiple social messages into the narrative. Very nuanced treatment, gets a lot of details clear. Many memorable scenes which leave a lasting impact.

Kanaa is more than just a sports drama; it is an inspiring story about dreams, determination, and breaking barriers. Directed by Arunraja Kamaraj, the film beautifully blends emotion with the struggles of a young girl who aspires to become a cricketer, despite the challenges society places before her.
The story revolves around Kousalya Murugesan (Aishwarya Rajesh), a farmer's daughter who grows up with a passion for cricket. What makes the narrative so powerful is how it captures her journey-not just the joy of chasing a dream, but also the pain of failures, criticism, and the gender stereotypes she faces. Her father (played brilliantly by Sathyaraj) is the emotional backbone of the film, showing how a supportive parent can make a world of difference. Their father-daughter bond is one of the most touching aspects of the movie.
Aishwarya Rajesh delivers an outstanding performance. Her portrayal of Kousalya feels authentic and relatable, especially in the emotional scenes where she struggles against odds. Sathyaraj shines as always, with his calm yet powerful presence. Sivakarthikeyan, though in a supporting role, leaves a strong impact and adds depth to the story.

A wonderful movie, fantastic performances, good pace and a strong message. All the child artists, acted brilliantly. Some cliched substances sprinkled for entertainment.
