I love Ken Jeong. I love his movies. But I just couldn't put my finger on what was a joke and what was just a.... kind of "funny" story? I would've really liked to take a dive into Ken's life a little bit more, but most of the content was rehashing characters and stories that we already know. 4 to 5 Mr. Chow impressions, stories about the Hangover, and nothing but name drops and shoutouts to more successful comedians. This could've been great - and I really wanted it to be - but the jokes just fell flat. Ken should've spent more time prepping these jokes and perfecting them instead of just going for the low hanging fruit; ie: anti-Trump jokes, Asian accents, bringing back characters from movies that happened over 10 years ago. Love Ken. Hated this special.
Ken Jeong is a really funny, witty comedy actor, but doing stand-up doesn't seem to be his thing. Most of this set was just the crowd cheering for his achievements, sadly only a little part of the set he actually cracked jokes and did what a stand-up comedian 'is supposed to'. That small part was funny, but not to the point where it makes all the namedropping and countless times of stretching out laughter or clapping alright.
Mediocre at best.

Overall I felt that this standup performance was good. I had some laughs and I enjoyed learning more about Ken Jeong who has always been this wild and crazy character in my head. This man has always fascinated me because he was once a doctor and gave it all up to be an actor. He does talk quite a bit about that switch which was extremely funny and interesting to learn about.
To me this special was the most wholesome in the fact that he contantly talked to the audience as if they were important parts to his act and pointed out his wife and director constantly. The show was about Mr. Jeong and how rich and famous he is but it was also about how he got to where he is and how important all of the people in his life are.
It wasn't the funniest standup I've seen but if you're a fan of Ken's and the work he's done in Hollywood then I think you would enjoy this.
I also think you would enjoy this special if you last name is Ho.

This was one of the worst comedy specials I have ever seen. There are no jokes. Just him bashing on Asians for a while (can be funny but it wasn't here). He spent a lot of time telling us how rich and famous he is. About how he is a doctor. Some stuff about how his wife is a Ho and how some plants in the audience are also Ho's.
And that's about it. I don't understand. This should not have passed any kind of quality control.

Though switched this on for the comedy, I didn't feel gripped by the comedy. Ken's jokes were by no means as bad as what other reviews seem to be parroting. However, I will admit that I did soon grow tired with his reliance on cheesy Asian stereotypes and bragging. This shouldn't be too surprising as his previous works have been built more on shock value and vulgarity rather than wit or nuance.
The redeeming part of the act was the autobiographical storytelling of some of the more important and vulnerable parts of his life that led him to his success.
If you are interested in Ken worth a watch for the stories alone. However, I wouldn't clear your evening plans to watch this.
