They spent all the film budget on the sets
A spectacular fairytale castle and gorgeous Christmas sets, like all the recent Netflix Christmas movies, but the acting and script are more painful than a raging case of Christmas hemmoroids. If you can appreciate this movie for the mindless fun that it is, you'll enjoy it. I'd give it a 7.5 but I couldn't stand the gay Indian wedding planner or the old biddy security butler. They almost ruined the film.
Bloopers are the best part
I know Christmas movies are cheesy to begin with but this movie felt really forced, and not as well done as the original. Everyone/Everything seemed forced and the best friends backgrounds were weak - wtf is a noodle chalet and why do they need security?? The only thing that made up for this was the few mins of bloopers at the end where you actually see them act as human beings and not as the robots they are in the movie. Also they could've put more makeup on Rose's temples as her veins are very prominent and looked like she got hit with a tire rod in her forehead :(
Not as charming as the original
Usually family sequels are fun and run close to their originals, this film lacked everything it's original had. A poor script, motionless characters and Ben Lamb whose performance lacked any appeal despite he winning is over in the original.
Rudy Ambers Father was played by a different person wasn't the right choice he played a goofy larrikin rather than the loving supportive father. Why the change??? Never the less I could go on and do a full users review but it would be a waste.
I sincerely hope they do another original cast more energy and a better more entertaining engaging script.
'It's a no from me tonight'
The slapstick over the top Dad!😠
I have a perpetual look of disgust in any scene he is in. He is absolutely cringeworthy. So much so that I'm not sure what else is going on in the movie as I'm only 10 minutes in but I'm ready to call it a wrap. To switch an actor for a cartoonish nut is unforgivable.
Oh! We've hit the wedding planner scene🙄. That's two cartoonish nuts.
I am a sucker for romance !!
A year after Amber helped Richard secure the crown, the two are set to tie the knot in a royal Christmas wedding - but their plans are jeopardized when Amber finds herself second-guessing whether or not she's cut out to be queen, and Richard is faced with a political crisis that threatens to tarnish not only the holiday season, but the future of the kingdom. A little to campy for me but once again my like for actress from the CW networks i-Zombie Rose McIver saves the film . Worth watching .
