Initially started super slow gradually the topic of conversation got interesting . Watchable movie
I stumbled across this film quite by accident and wasn't actually planning on watching it, but I did. It is one of those art house films that a not a lot of people will watch and those who will watch it will either love it or think it's utter rubbish. I'm one of those leaning towards loving it. For one, the acting is fantastic. The premise of an abusive casual relationship is painfully real. The dialogues seem natural and delivered by what seem to be seasoned theater actors. I wasn't expecting the intimate scenes to be shown as elaborately as they were, but they were important to the tone of the film which is essentially a power dynamic. I would have preferred a happier ending to the film. Or even a sudden end with no real conclusion but one with many open questions like they typically do in artsy films would have been satisfactory. The end of the film didn't leave much room in your head to think of the characters fondly. Hence I give it a 6 instead of a higher rating.
Whole movie is just conversation between a man and woman except just few minutes from a Taxi person and 3 physical interactions. They discuss everything, economics, politics, love, marriage and especially sex in most detail.
Talks on politics were balanced out.
The main topic was sex and it was discussed very deep like a B grade movies.
Dark makeup on girl was distracting, they forgot dark doesn't mean ugly.
Funnily writer had some personal grudges with Salman Khan and it was evident at two occasions.
With a name like that, you might be forgiven for thinking that it's a gentle romance. By the end of it, you might need therapy though.
Calling it gritty would be an injustice. It's one of the most brutal movies I've watched in recent times.
I watched it in two seatings, and at the end of which, one small part of me wanted to curl up in bed, while the other bigger part wanted to challenge the director - is that all you got? Bring it on.
But during the movie, all I wanted to say was "Enough already". To both characters, in turn. One for continually, unabashedly letting out his pain, and the other for endlessly absorbing it. In some toxic codependency.
Good job by Aadish Kesulkar.
Watch it at your own risk!

There was something in the movie which barred my fingers to skip across and just get the gist. You do not watch Bollywood movie from start to finish. But there was something in it. Yes, It was the conversation in the taxi that got me stuck to it, and I continued watching.
Unlike current bollywood which are hollow and full of songs, this movie stands out in its original screenplay and genuine acting without much fuss. Felt sad as they wrapped things faster towards the end. Climax could have been worked a little bit more.
