I don't get the message......we are supposed to get message like being a male gynecologist is fine but at the end we got the message like female having male bestie is fine.

I don't get this.....having boyfriend but still enjoying everything else with other man is fine.

Engaging to one man , kissing another and saying I want you in my life as a friend. Kissing someone doesn't means you want him as a friend. What the mindset of bollywood.if boy did the same with girl then everything get changed. Girl don't even want her bf went out with girl . But girl kissed his friend is normal . From the beginning i am supposed to get a good message but everything changed suddenly and fall to the side to feminism.

This is a dramedy - in fact it is primarily a drama with some lighter moments. It is much more serious than some other serious issues Khurana has tackled in most of his other comedies. The director is confused whether to treat it as a comedy or a drama and it is essentially a drama after the first third of the movie.

Khurana has become formulaic in that he acts as the protagonist in a social issue movie which has some light hearted moments.

This could have been a comedy-drama like Ted Lasso which makes you smile and also swell up. But, the movie misses its potential by making the storyline too complicated.

One of the film's strengths lies in its unique premise. By focusing on a male gynecologist in a predominantly female field, the film sheds light on the challenges and prejudices that come with breaking gender norms. The film effectively uses humor to address serious issues, making its social commentary accessible without feeling too preachy.

However, Doctor G isn't without its weaknesses. The romantic subplot feels predictable and sometimes unnecessary, detracting from the film's core themes. While the chemistry between the leads is pleasant, the romance doesn't add much to the story, and the resolution is foreseeable from early on. Similarly, some of the dialogue feels clichéd, lacking the sharpness needed to elevate the script to its full potential.

In the end, this film delivers a mixed bag, with its strengths lying in its thematic exploration and performances, while its weaknesses stem from a predictable romance and occasional lapses in dialogue. For those looking for a film that combines social commentary with laughs, the film offers an entertaining ride, even if it occasionally follows a familiar path.

A hilarious take on the life of a male resident Gynaecologist and how he adapts, navigates and accepts the fact that he treats female reproductive organs.

The male mindset of a lot of things come out in the movie and how the character is able to understand and change makes the core of the movie. A small part of the movie also deals with family drama but it does not spoil the mood of the movie.

Overall a good watch and a different take things and the way of working in a government hospital.

Ayushmann has not disappointed and has done a great job. The whole movie revolves around the hero and there are a lot of female characters.

Ayushmann khurana does what he has done over the years. There was nothing new from her. Rakul preet singh has fallen off the cliff it seems, her acting potential is substantially declining. Sheeba chaddha and shefali shah hold the ship together with their presence. The supporting cast is good.

The screenplay is engaging. Its more of a drama than comedy, the drama is built well. The shift from a chauvinist to losing the "male touch" was handled well. The film talks about sensitive topics. It tried to layer it in comedy, but the trope is getting repetitve to be honest.

Music is pretty average. There is no chartbuster or any instant-likeable song.
