School Spirit

The film's title is a metaphor and the story is pretty straight forward l. The characters aren't that likable, but the young victims and their obvious internal battles outside of the setting make them kind of likable. The blood and gore is a hit or miss. Not too much, but not too little. Some of the kills seem censored or happened too fast to notice and not worth the R-rating it was given. The best thing about the film is that they truly act like teenagers and wander off from the crew only to get slaughtered; but they're not as curious until the obvious shows. Not much is revealed until the very end. There's a slap on your face at the closing of the film. It's unique and definitely something I would do if I were a high school graduate. It's a great film for teens preferably 16-19 and young adults who just want time to pass while watching a pretty decent film-a-sode Hope you enjoy.

I actually think this is one of the better episodes. They've had some right crappy ones, but this is a little more up my street. I agree with the other review that it was predictable and the acting not so great, but I still liked it. I think if the main girl were a better actress or if someone else had been cast, it may have been a little more engaging.

Bottom line: School Spirit was worth the watch for me. It's a stock slasher film that is generally forgettable, but isn't a bad watch, and that was what I expected. If that's what you're after, you'll probably enjoy it too.

Gore level is pretty low for anyone concerned with that.

It doesn't feel like a B-horror, it's just a standard "breakfast club"-style slasher flick. The pacing, production values, and lighting are all decent for the most part.

At the end of the day there isn't a ton of stuff to complain about, but there also isn't anything memorable. There are a couple fun kills, but most of them are boring and done off screen. The cast is alright, but the majority of the script isn't very good so the dialogue is lacking. The "twists" are predictable, but fun.

Some of the logic and the murky timeline don't stack up well, but not enough to really bug me for the kind of movie this is and the expectations I had going in. I'm not going out of my way to recommend it for people, but if you like slashers then this one is good enough!

That pretty much sums it up. It's entertaining enough but predictable. There are worse entries in this series.

This is a silly, indie, cheesy horror version of the breakfast club. They tried. Failed...but tried.
