This had potential but I couldn't hit the finish line. The premise had promise, the execution is okay, the look of the film is decent, but this didn't really deliver the goods. You know what Juanma Bajo Ulloa is going for with this but it didn't come close to achieving what it could have with a more deft hand.
Loved the music soundtrack, the cinematography, the gorgeous detail of the production! Unusual and memorable.
Bajo Ulloa has made many risky decisions in this piece: there are no dialogues, an entire cast of women (none of them "hook actresses"), a story halfway between the story and the most heartbreaking reality, and a slow production against the accelerated trend of today.
All these factors are no longer so risky when accompanied by a sober and elegant production, a clean and organic photography at the same time, an evocative sound design and a spooky soundtrack in the purest style of the late Normand Corbeil in "Heavy Rain" .
During the footage, at no time can the powerful force of the film be denied that does not stop removing the most basic pillars of life: motherhood, the sense of belonging of the son to his mother, the similarity of the characters with animals , and the strong presence of nature as the conductor of history. A cocktail of elements that gain even more strength in these rare days that we live.
Conclusion: Powerful. Impeccable quality. Risky. It strikes me as a clever masterpiece that trusts the public, which makes it even bigger.

Juanma Bajo Ulloa was always a free verse in the Spanish film industry and this time he gives us a gloomy tale wrapped in a beautiful visual presentation with a risky formal bet in its staging, the absence of dialogue.
Baby is visually spectacular. His production design, photography, lighting, set design, music combine to generate images of extreme beauty, which are authentic poetry for the senses.
We must recognize their courage in defying the norms of mainstream cinema, the effort of their actresses to defend their characters and appreciate the wonder of their images, beyond the dramatic result.

This movie was a silent movie. Everything was well acted but it was just odd and at times dumb. Not sure what group this film was aimed for but I did NOT enjoy or like it. The lead was interesting but her never saying a word made her annoy. In the end it was one of those movie you wish you had never even started from the beginning. Maybe when the director decides to incorporate some words I MIGHT consider watching his movies in the future. For now, take my advice and skip this one.
