We know it's just a filler episode, but there's no need to rate it in low ratings because it doesn't deserve it. We learn more about the Whisperers and how Alpha and Beta met.
The episode is very well acted, it has a great atmosphere and the plot is written.
Overall, don't believe the reviews who wanted to destroy the show!
This is that kind of episode that needs to happen sometimes, a little too slow for me but good enough to keep me looking forward for the next week.
Rubbish, pure turgid rubbish. Poor dialogue, over the top acting, masks that look like Yoda with leprosy. This series is as doctors put it on patients notes CTD, circling the drain.
Watched the entire episode in 2 minutes by skipping through. i want the series to blow me away.. it's boring.. episode 3 will be a mushroom growing in the forest. super exited.. bring us the action.. something we've not seen before.. and not that slow pace wanna be character studies.. bring em all to new york for a mission and robot zombies and new stuff.. whatever.. you dont need to make whole episodes like this.. you could make that clear in 2 minutes.. my day is ... now .. thx
add on: i just read people writing things like "good filler episode".. wtf ?! why do they even exist ? lets make episodes that are not so good to fill the series.. this is so sad.. :D .. with each episode they could feed countries for a year.. whats that ?!?!?!? bring rick back.. its not just about rick.. go crazy with the story.. this is just dull..

This is an amazing episode for the Whisperers. The writing is superb and the acting - just wow! The last couple of minutes gave me goosebumps. Also loved that arc with the sisters - thought for a sec that the blonde woman was Winnie, one of the psycho kids that Michonne spared before the time-jump.
The only thing that felt a bit off was the editing during the final scene. Alpha sees something in the distance and shortly after that we have this strange cut to the scene from episode 1 where she spots Carol. In the previous episode, however, she randomly came out of the woods and it seemed like she was enjoying some fresh air or something. So it doesn't really make sense that she acts like she sees something while she is in the woods in episode 2. Get what I mean? I'm from Europe and my English might be a little off :D
