This season is going down as one of the worst. Just rudderless and stumbling as badly as the dead.
This season have so far been superb and this episode gives us an even better episode than the first two that was excellent, this episode gave us an opening so good that it just made me sit on the edge of my seat, truly great editing right there, the horror is upon us. The rest of the episode also has some great editing and directing from David Boyd who has been with the show since the start, his cinematography is just stunning in this episode. The writing and dialogue was perfect, all the character development to the callbacks and references. Angela Kang and company are really doing it this season with its writing, loving it! This was truly an interesting episode where paranoia plays a big part of the episode and with its clever editing and nice pacing it really felt that we were in the shoes of our survivors. It was great with nothing negative, I liked the cameo that was seen at some certain points in the episode won't spoil who it was though.
Seeing Ross Marquand and Jeffrey Dean Morgan play out their scenes together was incredible as their performances was perfect, I have never seen that great acting from Ross that was just magnificent! Josh McDermitt and Melissa McBride also had strong performances this episode, these actors, the whole ensemble are really showing their strength with great performances.. How they have grown both as actors and their respective characters. This episode is what makes The Walking Dead good, unexpected moments and moments that we can see the horror that the characters are facing. I wish the rest of the episodes have this quality.

This episode is stressful. filled with tired people. Negan, Aaron and Carol got the main role in this one. also the opening scene is really good.

Wow, I will start by saying that the background they gave Carol during the episode is amazing, it was very good. I really liked the horror moments. It's great to see the characters immersed in moments of despair and to see how they develop is brilliant.
Slowly but surely, The Whisperer War is coming. Episodes like these are important, cause TWD had a bit of a pace problem generally, and when you're bored following episodes like these it makes your attention fried for the ultimate outcome of all the things. After that Whisperer-focused filler episode, this was more exciting and actually got the story developed. Still, there is a need for that 9+ episode, but one hopes that episode arrives soon. This episodes was 8, but close to 7. Negan-Aaron stuff was quite interesting, since Negan behaved as good(?)old Negan for sometime. Carol and what she's been through is kinda boring IMO, because she had been through a lot and yes, "The Calm Before" was on another level but it's just getting more stale than ever to see Carol this way. Overall, a good episode with a bunch of good scenes, it could get 7.5 but not here (LOL) so a bit generous, 8.
