I enjoyed this fan film! You can really tell the filmmakers were passionate fans of these movies and they clearly poured their heart into it. Very good for what it is and I like their attempt at telling a story in the macabre universe of the first movie.
All in all, as a Texas Chainsaw fan film serving as a prequel to the original, I thought overall it was fun! And from a technical aspect, it was great.
The tone and just the level of gross and grime of the original film has never quite been replicated...until now. Obviously it looks a cleaner and smoother thanks to modern age cameras but in terms of the tone and style and just the way the film is shot and edited feels the closest to the original film that we've ever gotten. Very grindhouse, very gritty. Even Tobe Hooper couldn't replicate it when he did Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2. And I got to give credit to Steve Merlo and the cinematographer Charlie Brady for that.

This was a mess and full of that newsreel footage that is all generous donators receiving cameo appearance. Yall gotta stop offering that perk. If you get the money together but 20 minutes of your movie is filler from fulfilling fundraiser gifts, and they're usually reading from a script, are you really realizing your vision? Come on y'all. Find something else to offer, throw some fun merch or something ANYTHING else.
This looks like about a $500 budget and $480 went to the admittedly neat final scene practical effects. Good luck to Collazo's team if they're going to keep doing this. Not recommended.

This is so excellent. This should have been recognised more on YouTube as one of the great Batman fan films ever made. Great adaptation with the Jack the Ripper times.
