As a crime/thriller/mystery addict that I am, there's nothing more thrilling than watching a new great show! This is the TV at it's best: brilliant choice of actors, directing is a spot on, well thought- through script, no pathetic overdoing of characters, everything runs smoothly, keeping you interested and involved. Can't remember when was the last time that I actually yelled at the screen 'NOO!Don't kill him! NOOOO!!!' ;)

I was pleasantly surprised with the first episode but still on guard where it would take us... Now, after the second one I'm hooked, I'm all in, love it, every single bit of it! It broke my heart realizing it's only a three part series, but I do understand the reasons behind it, making it longer would possibly ruin the show. It was a good choice imho.

Actors are perfect in their roles, I believe them 100% in everything they say and do. Gorgeous Tom Huges, whom I watched in 'Realive' just recently- didn't even recognize him in this role, handsome devil... I hope he'll get many more main, diverse roles that will allow him to shine through, he deserves it. Denise Gough should give lessons to Kristen Stewart and few others how to pull out the messed up yet likable character, no overacting or biting her nails to depict her escapism, she just IS and we are with her; from living the uneventful life as a teacher, apparently grounded and somewhat emotionless, into cursing her poor 'love' choices, to feeling the panic rising, standing in the eye of the storm with her. From thinking of her being an odd choice for this role I switched into applauding to whomever chose her cause I can't imagine anyone else playing this role any better.

Can't wait to see the final episode, especially after the second one ended with a total surprise for me, 'What now?!?' is all I can say, hoping with all my heart the finale won't let us down...

It's one of those movies you'll like or dislike a lot ;) I understand how some people find it boring or shallow, with such an emotionally charged topic - one easily slips into the expectation of some deep psychological character's plot/revile or action scenes...

It is not that kind of the movie. Also, that's why I like it so much ;) The director choose to give us only vague guidelines about the core events, through little everyday interactions of the two main characters: a mother and her son. For those hungry for more, sometimes you'll get bits and pieces of kid's internal monologues, interpretations of things happening... But as far as the mother's character concerning - it's reduced to a minimalist, somewhat 'live stream' point of view, not even a documentary one, cause that one would insert at least some of her reasoning, points of view. We get none, just her actions and those are all about dealing with her son's reactions. It's a tricky little world, just a tiny little Room; yet left wide open, for us to imagine her emotions and thoughts about it all...

I love it. You may not. You may wanna the whole story served here and now, with all the clever plots and intellectual conversations and drawn emotions. Or maybe you'll just love it for what it is.

  • If you appreciate the visual, pure beauty of it - this one is for You

If you appreciate the visual, pure beauty of it - this one is for You.

The story itself is OK, nothing spectacular (better told in 'The Uninvited' (2009),) developing through beautiful scenery while depicting character's actions the most, the story doesn't relay on the conversation - it's the weak point and the strong one, depends how you look at it... I love it for what it is - a piece of art, trying to tell the story within, with more or less success. Still way better than most of the movies today ;) Just go with the flow and enjoy, don't expect any revelations, that's not what this movie is about.

It is so easy to talk about all the bad and disregard the good, as it is in life. I guess, it comes down to what kind of person you are. I assure you - this movie still has a lot of great things to offer, as long as you don't expect to see what it is not there to begin with. Not many movies are that way, these days. It all comes down to a personal level of finding and appreciating the beauty presented, in front of you. Not about your expectations, the whole story you wanna see in each and every detail. Just get over it and enjoy it for what it is, cause it's pretty great ;)
