So the movie isnt really breaking any new grounds here. In fact its a mix of several troups so commonly seen in romcoms, especially ones from Pakistan.
The story is simple and predictable so I like it better than LONDON NAHI JAON GEE, but even here the pacing drags a bit.
The songs are few (thankfully), and above average. Aima's song and the Pashto wedding songs are sensational.
Humayun saeed never looked better and Ramsha looked stunning as well. With Mahira its about her presence and it feels like SHE WAS BEING FORCED TO NOT BE HERSELF. Almost as if she was suffocating under the direction.
There was less comedy here than humayun's previous movies which was a bummer frankly. The supporting cast did a better than average job too, it just gets TOO OVER THE TOP at times as if punjabis and Pakhtuns are caricatures which is typical really.
So go to the cinema and have a good time.

I gave it a 10/10 because it totally delivers on what we are promised. Action, suspense and tom cruise sprinting through exotic locations. (No I am not a 'film critique and this is not a 'film critic review')
Is it oscar worthy?....no....it is a great movie with great suspense, action scenes and high stakes, HELL YES!!! Tom is the last person that is making those action movies like this and it doesnt disappoint.
There are moments in the film where the suspect level is turned up to 10, and it is reall, really suspenseful and the pay off too is great. Great sets, actions, exotic locations, all that jazz.
The only thing is that it DOESNT feel like the end and there is no indication in the movie that this is the end by any stretch.
HOWEVER it is a MISSION IMPOSSIBLE film, so like....whats not to love?

Ok, this isn't the best film of the year, but all the criticism is really non sensical.
The film really only lacks one big thing and one big thing only, proper pacing.
If it wasn't paced as slowly as it was, it would surely have had much much better reviews.
Not only does that mean more editing, but also cutting out nonsensical or time consuming scenes, of which there are plenty.
Apart from that I don't think the choice of the lead was a good one. The acting was one dimensional. Yes all hell has broken loose but a good lead would smile, laugh, reminsence, get angry from time to time and not just show just one emotion all the time.
The movie leaves alot of areas that could be explored in other media for sure.
The special and visual effects are absolutely world class. Some of the scenes are true visual poetry or new renaissance. Fantastic in my opinion while others would say he was trying too hard.
Overall, the two movies should have been less than half the run time in total.
