This is a lovely nugget of cartoon. In every scene there are hidden tidbits in the background, references to other Disney works, and we even get a meta (almost third wall) commentary about the state of the movie industry. Brilliant animation, nice story, great voice acting and hilarious characters make this a very fun ride and I think kids are going to love this.
A couple of negatives: the 2nd act almost drags a bit so although the movie is not long, it almost feels like it could have been even shorter. There are a too many out of the norm characters who are clearly put into the movie for "modern audiences". A few political commentaries are fine, but this is a children's cartoon, perhaps keep the letter combo's out of it? I also think the story beats are very similar to the first movie. This is not the same, but the feeling and beats and step by step feels the same.
At the end I give this a weak 8/10. I had a good laugh and I would not mind seeing this movie again. Definitely worth the ticket, and bring your children, they are going to love this movie.
Highly recommend.

With a shaky start of this season we get to the first episode which match the good of season 4 and season 1. This is okay, and definitely entertaining.
Sadly this too is plagued with the same issues this show has had since the middle of season 1, namely they try to put too much in here, with too many characters doing too many things. They could easily kill off Jonathan and Lucas since those two characters does nothing, has nothing to do with the main plot and are basically a waste of space. Dustin and his family, together with Lucas family (and insufferable sister) should have moved away or fled the town, and suddenly we have far less characters and we can cut out 10min of each episode wasted on those characters.
But instead we now get a Derek Turnbow? And his family? Really? Sigh... I assume they want someone to kill later in the season, but why? You already have a billion characters, why more?
Pretty good episode though, and a nice cliffhanger. A 7/10 and first episode this season I can actually recommend.

I was disappointed with the first episode, but here we are immediately introduced to far better storytelling, and pretty dark and gritty too. Not that this is great, but at least better.
This is what this show should be a lot more. The directors and showrunner clearly know how to do creepy and scary, and they should keep to that.
As per usual there are too many characters doing too many things. It is like half of each episode could easily be cut out. Another thing which is clear to me is that the acting is not spot on anymore. I thought they fixed it with season 4, but here they are back on the same barely passable acting levels as season 2 and 3. The kids could act when they were actual kids, now when they are adults they are not good at it anymore.
Still, this not bad. A 6/10 and definitely a step forward, but watching this show is starting to feel like a chore. I hope they nail the ending because Im not feeling it.
