Absolutely abysmal. Compston does his usual mediocre job. The lack of actual Scots in this film sums up everything wrong with 99% of films set in Scotland. Just cast Scots in the role of Scots. Our accents are notoriously difficult for non Scots to pull off, and this film emphasises that point ably.

The soundtrack is brutally bad, with the Chip Shop lad (Nutini) taking centre stage. It's as though whoever made this film didn't know any Scottish music, so just threw in the few Scottish songs they actually knew, just to really ensure that the audience knew this was set in Scotland.

A truly awful film, terrible script, terrible acting. Avoid.

My biggest pet hate in film, is when 'they' try to make something 'arty', and 'clever', but just end up making the biggest pile of pretentious cow dung known to Mankind.

That's what this film does.

Why can't the camera be stationary for longer than 3 seconds? Why this constant motion? Why is the script so bad? Why is lighting do bad? And perhaps most importantly. Why in the name of all things holy, did James McAvoy get involved in this? Is this really where his career has taken him?

I have seen worse films, i want to make that clear, but i also have to make it clear that i haven't seen many worse than this. I've made it to the end of some awful films, because they at least had something there, which kept you watching, if for no other reason than to see just how bad it could actually get. This one? I managed to reach the 45 minute mark, and i had to turn off. It has nothing redeemable about it. It's so bad, i ended up washing the dishes, and that was more fun than watching this.

This adds nothing to the now standard quirky 'Lundun' jolly jape, genre of film.

We see a lot of the usual suspects from these 'Lundun' based films appearing here, with just enough newer faces added in to keep it relatively fresh.

Why the Mod aspect? I don't know, as it could've been made about any group of people, maybe even East End Market stall holders...Oh wait a minute, Eastenders has had that covered for the last 40 odd years.

It wouldn't surprise me if many in this cast have appeared in Eastenders.

I don't know what the plot was. Something about drugs going missing...blah...blah...blah. Cockney oi oi...Cockney oi oi... Cockney oi oi. The End.
