Finally, a movie dedicated to Wolverine. We follow his origins, from his birth to when he loses his memory. Everything in between should have been a blast.
It's not a bad movie, but its not great either. It lands somewhere in the middle of, "its okay." The acting was amazing and they had a wide variety of famous actors. There was lots of action and many different locations. I loved that they brought in many new mutants and cool abilities. They even stayed true by connecting the X-men in there somehow. All of that was great. And yet the flaws of the movie almost out way the good.
There seemed to be confusion on what this movie should focus on. It needed to pick a point and dive in. Instead it gently grazes everything without really given something to sink our teeth into. It becomes a tease. I think the biggest flaw is wolverines mannerism. They say he's one of the greatest. One of the toughest. And yet they don't show it. They don't make him bad and gritty, but they don't make him good either. They made him too gentle. Too much kindness. How can someone willingly fight in every war possible, killing too many people to count and still be a happy, go lucky, sweetheart with a good heart and soul? I found Sabertooth took the attention from Wolverine. He held the spot light in most of the scenes because the writers gave him grit.
A lot of the plot makes no sense. Striker says wolverine was the best out of the team. Even Wolverine said he was the best "I'm the best at what I do. And what I do isn't very nice." And yet so many other mutants fought better then him. He barely did anything. They could have easily made the movie about the team and missions they did, which could have led to them making the perfect solider. Instead they teased us with it.
What they did to Deadpool was down right dirty and wrong. They could have given more Gambit time. He was a tease. They barely showed him. And what was with the extreme healing. In X-men and X2 it takes wolverine time to recover, its fast, but it takes time. In this movie they went overboard with his healing capabilities. Bullets were bounding off his head like it was nothing. Falling from a plane into water would have done serious damage to his body, on top of the weight of the elimantium. Would he of not sunk to the bottom of the ocean and drowned?
The CGI of the claws was beyond bad. And I wont even mention the end, it was horrible. The love story was a weird mix. And they tried to bring in familiar scenes such as boxing and the middle finger claw from the original X-men movie. Which felt like they were trying too hard.
Wolverine was missing his grit. They should have wrote him as an evil character who was fighting to find his heart. That would have been more interesting.
Because I'm a massive x-men and Wolverine fan I'll always watch all the films they make. And again its not a terrible movie, I just wish they would have made it better, with the quality it deserved.

Over the top action, lots of gore, tons of color and wild creative filming. This movie is a little different, but there's nothing wrong with different. It reminds me of the Death Race films. Some of the plot didn't make sense, like why not just go to a hospital and demand a doctor to help you? And I think he would have lost his hands from infection. And how did he all of a sudden know how to shoot like a pro? But, it's a movie, it doesn't have to make sense to still be entertaining.
I loved how colourful the movie was and the action was great. As always Daniel Radcliff was amazing. I was impressed with his voice, he completely got rid of his British accent. The movie went far out of the normal box and gave some heavy spins. It was refreshing and creative. I wish they would make a part two. The film really has Kill Bill vibes mixed with Death Race and The Purge. Fun survival film with heavy action.

It might not be "predator" that we know and love, but it's not terrible either. The movie would have benefited more if it didn't contain the name and franchise of predator. And would have came off as its own thing of monsters killing monsters.
This is not a horror movie, its honestly barely a thriller. There's nothing scary about it. There's no gore. It's almost a souped up disney movie. Reminds me of John Carter. But it is entertaining. I loved the world they introduced with all the death traps and new creatures. It was very creative in those regards. The relationship between the predator and the android was fun. Lots of funny banter. And it was a wholesome film with great values and a message that your stronger with a family then doing it alone. I enjoyed the movie a lot.
