This was a very good series that explored social issues such as immigration, exploitation, classism, elitism, gender violence and racism.
The main character was likable and stood tall as the moral center in this mystery even when going through her own internal conflict. She continued to do the right thing despite the challenges it presented to her family. The Filipino actress who played Angie was great. I loved how the series explored the au pairs' dynamics and perspectives.
The other characters were typical elitist wealthy people who were deep in their white privileged but more so in their wealth privilege than anything else. The racist remarks made by the male characters made me frown but worse than them was the wife of the wealthy neighbor. Kat, the neighbor, played very well by Danish actress, Danica (sorry can't remember her last name) played the opposite of the blond main character, who was tightly controlled with her emotions like a typical Dane. Kat was a brat, surly, mean girl, racist and snooty. ( She seemed to have hit the rich jackpot with her short husband, Rasmus). I couldn't stand her but it provided dramatic contrast which was exceptionally done.
The show could have been wrapped up in 4 episodes and the answer to the open ended questions in episode six are really answered in episode 5. After you view the last episode, 6, think about it. The ending question is answered in a scene in episode 5. It became clear to me after watching episode 6. So as far as I'm concerned, there are no open ended questions.
I think this show was a good psychological mystery thriller and I would recommend anyone to watch.
