This episode is a gem-both when I first watched it and now, two decades later. Francine shines as the ultimate antagonist: Darth Vader in a schoolgirl's uniform. She's devious, and it's a shame the show didn't use her more in this role. Her schemes electrify the dynamics.

Sookie, meanwhile, commits what can only be described as culinary infidelity by letting an old friend sneak brandy into her sauce. Could she be any sweeter? 😁 And her shenanigans manage to "ruin" Creedence Clearwater Revival for Jackson forever-a small tragedy wrapped in hilarity.

Seeing Billy Burke as a suave coffee enthusiast, charming Lorelai with his flirtations, was an unexpected treat. For me, he's forever Phillip Stroh, the psychopathic antagonist from The Closer and Major Crimes. What a delightful departure from that role!

Lorelai's deposition is another highlight. Her trademark humor, fueled by years of resentment toward Emily, takes center stage, but there's a flicker of self-awareness in moments like these. It's as if Lorelai briefly realizes that her mockery of Emily isn't always justified.

And then there's the clash of titans: Paris versus Rory. Their duel is nothing short of spectacular. Watching them channel musketeers was a stroke of genius-dare I say, even better than their turn as Romeo and Juliet. Swashbuckling tension, wit, and comedy at its finest!
