Joan continues to berate Sherlock as if he's not the genius behind it all. HE TAUGHT HER EVERYTHING! Gregson says she's done well in Sherlock's absence without any proof bc there is no proof. She's a sidekick and without Sherlock she would be an average Private Eye. Totally average. Sherlock is a genius and if he and Mycroft got along they would be an even better team. The fact that Joan thinks she's some kind of deductive genius is laughable. She's only there because she was his sober companion. She doesn't solve cases, she merely gives input which at times, helps Sherlock. Sherlock needs a partner to bounce ideas off of and she fell into that role through sheer luck. Sherlock is the deductive genius and Joan is there for the ride.
I sincerely enjoy this show overall but this episode really gets my goat. It demonizes the average citizen & responsible gun owners. The average citizen buys a gun to protect themselves/family from criminals who have guns & don't obey the law, let alone gun laws. Strict gun laws only hurt good, honest & hard working citizens bc, again, CRIMINALS DON'T OBEY THE LAW so said gun laws don't apply to them but they do apply to law abiding citizens. Stop making ordinary citizens look like crooks.
The low reviews must be from the liberal SJW/PC crowd. A few notable things this film addresses:
-family resolve as well as trusting & relying on family to get through difficult situations.
-it confronts the reality of Human Trafficking bc it's arguably the biggest problem in the U.S./worldwide. It's pure evil.
-it also tackles the issues Vets deal with on a daily basis, including some issues at the VA.
I highly recommend this movie.
