Sadly, NCIS LA is not as good as it used to be. The action. The humor. The suspense. The storylines. The writing. The "family/team" chemistry that used to be there.
The last couple of seasons just doesn't portray a "real" and "believable" story like earlier episodes in the previous years. Seems like the writers strive to make sure everything has political correctness instead of real life scenarios.
I enjoy Gerald McRaney as an actor but I just don't care for his character in this series. Nor do I care for the Fatima and Roundtree characters. To me the chemistry just isn't there like it used to be. Maybe I'm just set in my ways but the last few seasons just haven't appeased me.
It's hard getting through these episodes anymore, but I keep hoping.

I believe this could have been a great reboot. Lucas Till had the potential to pull off the modern day MacGyver for this generation. However with all the other senseless drama surrounding MacGyver with his team and relationships and poor story telling, "MacGyver" never had a chance. The original was so much better by far and Richard Dean Anderson set the bar high. Honestly surprised it lasted 5 seasons.
Annie Walker is undoubtedly the worst spy. She's as subtle as a bull in a China shop when sneaking around, she's very emotional, she has more tells than a newspaper, she's self-centered, and she defies her superiors all of the time. I realize this show is fiction because this certainly wouldn't happen in real life.
