This started with Elly being enrolled in an uppity finishing school in the previous episode. Jane Hathaway butts in to make Elly look like she belongs. After a short stay she comes home. At the start of this farcical mess the "Widder Fenwick and Cynthee" come to the Clampett house because the snobbish Cynthia thinks Elly, who knows nothing about fashion, is a fashion pacesetter. Confusion abounds as Jethro tries to get Cynthia cleaned up and she mistakes him as royalty. Seems that Jed only saw the hound dog Duke after Cynthia and her mom saw Jethro. Needless to say it's here we go from there. Mrs. Fenwick calls for the chauffeur to get them but because of the hillbilly attire provided by Jethro, Mrs. Drysdale thinks she's just another hillbilly. After Granny tries to "scrub the widder" thinking she hasn't bathed in like forever, the Fenwicks finally escape. The chauffeur gets them home, but Jed and Jethro think HE owns Fenwick House. One point: how do Jed and Jethro not recognize a woodshed? The world will never know.
