    MEET JETHRO BODINE, MILITARY MAN.

POSITIVELY way wacky continuation of the last episode where Jethro gets drafted and Mr. Drysdale is arrested (as field marshal Von Hindenburg?)

Jethro officially reports to the U. S. Army induction office. Here's the wild catch... Because of all the unbeliev-abubble stuff that happened with he and Mr. Drysdale at Griffith Park and their army tank -- the army psychiatrist (played by King Donovan), thinks Jethro is trying to psyche him out. Make everyone believe he's 100 percent NUTS, except him. Excellent strategy, but it ain't workin'!

Creative comedy writing by producer Paul Henning, the dialogue totally off the wall. Best of it is the appearance of Paul Ford, known for CAR 54. He plays the astounded army colonel who -- INSTEAD -- thinks Jethro is some kind of a military genius in disguise? The colonel even salutes him. Excellent strategy, and THIS IS workin'!

Director Joseph Depew does a super job with this scene, worthy of an Emmy nod. Watch how it all ends, and yes, Jethro climbs back in his army tank. Again, poetic license 101 at work. HOW did an army tank just roll onto military property unchecked?

Don't miss Judy the chimp, making another appearance, with dogs, cats and other critters who pile out of Miss Jane's car. Animal trainer Frank Inn handled this scene, and you'll love it.

SEASON 6 EPISODE 7. According to Amazon, there is no dvd box set for seasons 6 through 9. However, a projected release year (2027) has been announced with remastered color copies on blu ray. Thanks again to METV for running this incredible sitcom seven days a week.
