This movie is funnnnn for being about such twisted things. Tim Burton directed this nonsense but man it's got perfect Tim Burton moods. It's like creepy enough that it takes itself seriously too. After a while the barbershop starts in full swing and blood flies everywhere. It's so vibrant and sprays in such large arcs. It's lovely.
The songs are quite nice too, just very catchy. Oh! And that part where Alan Rickman is humming but also going bum-bum-bum bum-bum-bum is nice. It's breaking the fourth wall, maybe, but like in a play everyone is singing away non-stop so I guess it's normal. Helena's beach song is nice. That JOAAAANNNA song is very nice.
That magician dude played by Sacha Baron Cohen is very interesting, just getting to know his character, I mean. And I think at this point he was known mainly for Borat so I think people liked that he was trying out a straightforward role.
Yeah it's got good actors, good set-up, ending, it's all twisted and a great time.
