This series was a disaster from the start. Even though thousands of fans hated it, the idiots continued to produce garbage episodes. The only good thing to come out of STD was Strange New Worlds. Unfortunately Paramount still ignores it's loyal fans and is planning more garbage Series and 1 film that should have been tv series (Section 31). ST Academy will be nothing but a rerun of 90210 in space. Good bye STD forever! So many opportunities lost here to explore the unknown and seek out new life. Instead we get Hollywood's disgusting agenda on immoral practices and a star ship that avoided her very name. Discovery.
I was hoping this series would come up with their own story lines and build on those characters, but copying from the original series and just spinning the stories is showing lack of imagination and just plain laziness. It seems Hollywood can't get out of the past and remakes. I think this franchise is running out of time to invent a series that is 100 years forward of TNG and aboard the Enterprise H-J-K-L. They could create all new characters and continue to seek out new life and new civilizations but unfortunately they choose to continue the path of self destruction. As a side note "Where are the real men on this feminine ship"?
