This story is about James Van Praugh an accessibility to communicate with the dead. The episodes present the beginning of how he became aware of and used his gifts to benefit others, including his early childhood and upbringing in the Catholic faith. He was discouraged as a child from admitting that he could actually communicate with the dead. The priests, teachers, and his father believed him to be "telling stories." As an adult, he was encouraged by one of his coworkers to visit a medium's session where the medium told him he was surrounded by the dead. Still unwilling to accept his ability for fear of being thought of as crazy, his coworker told him that he should use his abilities to benefit others. He later became involved with the police and helped identify and solve a series of murders involving young boys.
This show is just delightful. I love the character mix and can see many potential story arcs. If you haven't seen it, give it a chance.
Some very nice Christmas musical selections, traditional, modern and original. The extra narratives provided some interesting information.
