What can really be said about this movie.... Its a fantastic documentary, and unlike other wildlife documentary's its not overly sad or graphic, so parents can bring their kids.
The shots and views of the chimps and the rain forest, are absolutely amazing. All aspects of the lives of chimpanzees are shown, even the not so glamorous ones. However the filmmakers show the harshness of the lives of chimps while appealing to all ages, and not sacrificing content. For example: in one of the few scenes at can be perceived as violent, an obscured view of the chimps is shown, not enough to mask their actions, but enough to make it tasteful.
Tim Allen does a fantastic job of narrating, being both funny and informative. He even makes a throw back joke or two.
This film is inspiring, fun, and informative. Its fun for the whole family, and I am not just saying that. I left the theater thinking how alike humans and chimpanzees are, and would recommend this movie to any animal lover.

Lockout is the story of a man named Snow (Guy Pearce) who goes into a space station prison, to rescue the presidents daughter (Maggie Grace), who is trapped in an prison outbreak.
Of course there is more depth to the plot, but not too much, the majority of the film is the two main characters running around and barely making it through doors, that can not be broken through. There is also a sub plot that could have been more interesting than the actual plot, and may be used in the hope of a sequel.
Lockouts action is good, and many of the prisoners look intimidating. However the movie fails to really connect with anyone, and the movies hero only delivers snarky comments instead of real dialogue, making him one sided. The movie is also entirely predictable leaving no room for surprises. There is the seasoned veteran man saving woman aspect, but unfortunately this is not taken.
I would say that Lockout is not a complete loss, but a better rental than movie trip. Despite being similar to other movies Lockout is not a remake or sequel, making it one of the few original works in the past few years.

I saw the Devil is an intense, gritty, terrifying thriller, something that we do not see much of in the US.
I saw the Devil follows a secret agent type cop, who's wife is murdered. The officer tracks the killer relentlessly, blending the roles of both officer and psychopath. Once the killer is found it ignites a new form of cat and mouse. The film has a great many twists and turns that will keep you guessing as to what the final scene will hold.
This film has scenes of intense horror, and it does so without using excessive amounts of violence. Do not get me wrong fans of intense violence will not be disappointed, there are some things that will make you place your hands in front of your eyes, and sounds that can make blood run cold. However there are scenes that make one feel helpless as they watch the would be victims trapped, and without hope.
The movie also shows the killer, Oldboy star Min-sik Choi, and his horrific lifestyle. Leaving no room to question what type of person he is, including that of the officer, played by Byung-hun Lee.
This is a revenge movie, but it dips itself into a great many genres as the film takes you on a wild ride all leading to the finale.
