Day 3 and Day 4 are the best episodes for this season. Interesting that the decision about what children are going be handed over reminded me of Jonathan Swift's "A Modest Proposal for Preventing the Children of Poor People from Being a Burthen to Their Parents or Country, and for Making Them Beneficial to the Publick" As well, the original 12 selected "won't be missed" made sense. It reminded me somewhat of The X-Files whereby children were given to the Aliens by the fathers involved in dealings with the Aliens to ensure the safety of humans. Clement McDonald portrayed by Paul Copley was amazing! I'm going to look for other works he's in.
Edward Van Halen was Hank. I'm sure the M&M's was a reference to the clause in the band's concert contract.
Love the reference about retiring to a tropical island to solve crimes... Death in Paradise!
