I can understand why the critics have been so harsh. The film earned substantially at the box office, so many will naturally look for the element that drew such an audience.
To begin with, there was not much competition at the time of its release, and amidst the usual one man army action films dominating Indian cinema, this one did offer something slightly different.
Mohit Suri has once again demonstrated his command over romantic storytelling and the two newcomers performed commendably. Aneeta Padda, in fact, delivered a stronger performance than Ahan Panday.
It is now available on Netflix and makes for a decent one time watch. It will not bore you.

Yes, it is indeed the very same film starring the same ageing cast, recycling the same storyline, the same dialogue and near identical scenes, with only the title altered.
The lead, barely able to bend or lift a leg, is still inexplicably thrust into full scale action sequences. Frankly, the T-Rex has aged so much that he need only shuffle about and the villains obligingly line up to be struck.
The film offers no engaging plot and is utterly devoid of substance from the very first frame.
Boredom reaches rock bottom and stays there.

Undoubtedly, anyone watching will be swept with nostalgia throughout the film, particularly those familiar with the original Naked Gun series starring Leslie Nielsen, who remains unmatched to this day in delivering absurd comedy with a straight face.
Liam Neeson handled his role well, while the return of Pamela Anderson helped balance the casting, though the glamour and spark were not quite the same as before.
If you are a fan of the silly, over-the top comedies of the 1990s, you are certainly in for a laugh. Even if you are not, it is still worth a watch you may find yourself enjoying this style of humour more than expected.
