"Fade 2 Dusk" by Major Axis is a sonic journey, blending the ethereal textures of 90s ambient jungle and atmospheric drum & bass, with influences from LTJ Bukem, Photek, Omni Trio, Seba, PFM, Blu Mar Ten and Source Direct. The album tells the story of a samurai who, after discovering a portal to a surreal world covered in endless water and eternal rain, is initially captivated by its haunting beauty. But over time, isolation erodes his wonder, and the endless solitude sinks him into despair.

In this dreamlike water realm, the samurai embarks on a desperate journey to the edge of the world, where he finds himself gazing into a vast, endless void. It is here, on the border between worlds, that he encounters a mysterious ghost who reveals a grim truth: the only way to escape this dimension and traverse between worlds is to become a ghost himself, which he can only achieve through the act of seppuku. As dusk settles over the endless ocean, the samurai performs the ritual, his spirit finally freed to wander between realms.

Through sweeping breakbeats, deep basslines, and melancholic atmospheres, "Fade 2 Dusk" captures the samurai's emotional descent from awe to sorrow, and his ultimate transcendence beyond the physical plane.
