Cleaning up.

I’ve been busy tidying up the Cave ( good way to spend our first 40deg cel. day.) I finally got round to dealing with some of the extra bits of wadding that were returned after I had two quilts done at the longarm quilters.
First I cut the extra backing off and then trimmed all the bits.

Then they’re all ready to sew together .

There’ll be enough to use as wadding for a donation “I Spy” quilt…..

Must away now and cut the blocks form my stash….

Happy stitching

Hugs. Maria 💖

  2. A warm last day of spring for you! Here on the other side of the country, our top today was 14. And that was only if you were out of the cold wind.
Good for you getting organised and tidying up. My sewing room needs the same.

  3. You are escaping the heat and we had 8 inches of snow - or more, I haven't ventured out to measure it yet.

  4. I like to do that with batting off cuts too, they are useful to have around. Smaller pieces make great placemats.

  5. It's rather like getting a free quilt batting, isnt it. Well worth the effort.

  7. There seems to be a theme of tidying our sewing rooms. You’re very organised to prep your backing off cuts straight away.

  9. Definitely want to be indoors in that heat.... good use of the wadding - I really should get into my box of pieces and do the same!
