GYE is on nrn fringe of the extreme heat dome bringing all-time record MAR heat to Wrn US. Red Lodge tied all-time MAR high yest. 22C (72F). Previously 3/27 and 31/2015. Drove in thru WY-296 to US-212, to ski up that from 2213m to 2580m. Side detour near start ridge above Lily Lake. 14C at the start, 10C or so when we turned back. Dismal snowpack lower, but above 2400m looking good. Melting rapidly, everything. More deer out w the mild winter, had close call. #climate #skiing #dogs #wyoming #gye

We ❤️ US-212 aka the Beartooth Highway. Better snowpack these areas above 2400m. strong W wind push uphill, loved that. slowed me some on the return, but that was OK, just glad to be on skis.

down low (l) near start, barely enough to tussle. had to walk my skis up 500m from road closure, bare since it was last moved up. i bet it will be moved up again before this weekend. a lot of snowmachiners are on it then, but today just had 4. a little further up (r) you can see Beartooth Plateau edge 3200m +.

Unfortunately, he’s looking so alert because a dog who’s picked a fight with him before just trotted around the corner and stopped dead in its tracks. Odin clearly remembered, because he actually growled, which he’s done like twice in his life.

Dogs morning out in 2018. Everybody loved the car ride and the trip to the park for a walk.
We had 4 then. We've had as many as 5 at one time. All of these are from the county shelter, but we are also fond of a local rescue.
All of these are deceased and fondly remembered. We got more.
Many grow old with us. Others we adopt when they're already quite old, and they last for awhile.

Happy St Patrick's Day everyone, especially our wee Paddy aka the Irish mutt. Still a young lad, who isn't sure about his size, but a very cuddly boy, he comes up every evening for a cuddle at about eight, which he asks for very gently.
When we got him from the shelter and took him to the vet to get his pet passport sorted and his injured paw checked, the vet greeted him with: <insert strong Irish accent>So what can we do for you today, Mr Patrick?</insert strong Irish accent>

A close up Paddy the Irish mutt got his ears back mouth open in a big smile, his glowing amber nearly orange eyes catches the sun, nose pointing directly at the camera. Just above his head on the grassy ground is his favorite yellow ball, which because of the angle and focal length makes it look like he is wearing a tiny yellow hat ;)
I hope her birth mom knows that she has a full human-sized bean bag to herself.
