Protect and easily recover your data
Automatically back up your files and folders from your computer to MEGA with MEGA Backup to ensure your data is safely stored online. You can recover deleted or previous versions of files and folders by enabling file versioning or using our rewind feature.
Share your data but still be in control
Create password-protected links with expiry dates for files and folders and share them with anyone, even non-MEGA users. The recipients don’t need to sign up for MEGA to be able to access the shared files and folders.
Invite anyone to upload files to your account
Create a file request folder and invite non-MEGA users to upload files to your MEGA Cloud. It’s a great way to collect reports or assignments.
Collaborate with your friends and colleagues on assignments and work projects
Remotely collaborate on group assignments or work projects using MEGA’s share, sync, chat and meetings. Sharing allows you to share MEGA folders with other MEGA users, and you can all collaborate on MEGA. You can also share synced folders with MEGA users who can sync these folders with their computers. This way, everyone can work on the same folder from their own computers and changes will be synced through MEGA, allowing everyone to access the latest version. Cloud storage is a secure online space where you can safely store your data. It’s an addition to just storing your data on your computer or external drives. MEGA manages and operates data storage as a service.
Is MEGA cloud storage encrypted?
Yes. MEGA uses zero-knowledge encryption, which means your files are encrypted on your device before they reach our servers. We don‘t hold the keys to decrypt your data, so no one, including MEGA, can access your files.
How much free cloud storage does MEGA offer?
MEGA offers 20 GB of free encrypted cloud storage. The free plan includes the same zero-knowledge encryption as all paid plans. If you need more space, paid plans range from 200 GB to 20 TB, with scalable Business options beyond that.
Can I access my MEGA files from any device?
Yes. MEGA is available through the web, desktop apps for Windows, macOS, and Linux, and mobile apps for iOS and Android. Files sync automatically across devices in real time when you use MEGA Desktop App or MEGA Backup.
What is the difference between sync and backup?
Sync keeps files identical across your devices and MEGA. Changes go both ways. Backup only sends changes from your device to MEGA, not the other way round. This makes it useful for recovering older versions of files. MEGA offers both sync and backup features.
