Community Wishlist/Wishes/Automatically showcase talk page open issues on their respective main pages
Description
In many cases, issues that arise on Wikipedia and other wiki projects are either resolved directly by contributors or discussed on the respective talk pages. However, the effectiveness of the latter approach is often hindered by a reliance on chance—specifically, the chance that someone will not only stumble upon the article in question but also check its talk page. This issue is especially pronounced for less-trafficked pages with fewer watchers, and even more so in small wikis, where discussions and unresolved issues may go unnoticed for extended periods. Finding a way to automatically showcase or reference talk page open issues on their respective main pages might mitigate the chance element.
Things to consider:
- The key point here would be the automatic aspect of it;
- It shouldn't disrupt the reading experience;
- Showcasing open issues on articles may help in further promoting awareness about the collaborative and work-in-progress aspects of Wikipedia and other wiki projects
