Senior Cycle Programmes

Having completed the Junior Cycle Programme, pupils in Maria Immaculata Community College are presented with three senior cycle options:

• The Transition Year Programme
• The Leaving Certificate Programme
• The Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme

Transition Year Programme

Transition Year gives students a taste of subjects and experiences they may not have explored before .There is an emphasis on active learning methodologies and co-operating with others. This improves interpersonal and communication skills, boosts student’s confidence and further develops their talents.

Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme

Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme (LCVP) is an enhanced Leaving Certificate which has a strengthened vocational dimension.
