Heather Rachel Throughout the life of indie music, there's been many ways of expressing melancholy, from Death Cab For Cutie's poetic lyrics and snappy instruments to The Microphone's distortion.

Mount Moon sets itself apart with being so anxiously fast in almost every song, how each relation the singer has skews what life was supposed to bring, and how we're all barely coping in this hollow world.

Radon in particular stands out, we all hate our hometowns - or the people we called home. Favorite track: Radon.

dakota james I can't settle on a single song to call my favorite. this is the best problem I've ever had Favorite track: Slums.
Mason

Mason Sounds like a delightful male counterpart to Joanna Newsom. First heard Mt. Moon/Jazz Casual on Welcome to Nightvale. This collection of acoustic folk tunes is well worth the $$ and recorded in the subway station no less! Favorite track: Brother.

Bez Fantastic album, I love every track. Train noise complements rather than distracts & the songs are in great quality considering. Ranging from the upbeat but sharply self-aware 'You Don't Know' to the powerful, mournful 'Slums', this is an interesting and heartfelt album I'd recommend to any fan of singer-songwriters. Favorite track: You Dont Know.

Alexandre DuBroy It might not be the most hi-fidelity album ever but there is just so much raw emotion here. Its one of my favorite albums of all time because its just so powerful to me. Favorite track: You Dont Know.
